The North Coast of Taiwan (Wanli District/ Jinshan District area) is filled with breathtakingly extraordinary rock formations, the most widely known of which is the various unique geological landscapes in Yehliu Geopark. The famous Queen’s Head, Fairy Shoe, etc., are absolute works of beauty by nature’s uncanny craftsmanship. One must also taste the authentic seafood cuisine when visiting the North Coast. Delicious dishes cooked with fresh catches are the favorite of gourmets. If you visit in fall, don’t miss the great taste of Wanli crabs. Jinbaoli Old Street is as busy as it was a hundred years ago. Here you can taste the local cuisine specials of sweet potatoes, jumping taros, etc. The area of Jinshan and Wanli is also a known hot spring resort, where you can experience hot spring baths and remove your body of fatigue and stress. The Juming Museum situated in Jinshan District gathers all of Master Ju Ming's life work in the art park. Located beside the mountains and neighboring seas, the important creations from varying periods by the sculpting master are displayed in accordance with different terrains and landscapes.

Teresa Teng (also known as Deng Lijun) was renowned as having China's most beautiful voice. Her melodious tones can still be heard wherever Chinese people gather. Although she was born in Taiwan, she was regarded throughout the world as being Chinese, and now she rests in the Teresa Teng Memorial Park, where you can hear perfectly phrased renditions of her best-loved songs.

This is by fast the most beautiful resting place for any artist in the world. So beautifully created everything! From her beautiful grave site to giant piano, green landscapes decorated with flowers... beautiful stone carvings.. Although I couldn't go inside the main garden where I wanted to but yet truly mesmerized from my visit. Thanks!

We travelled in a private car from Taipei (approx 60min).

My mother has a wish to visit Ms Teresa Teng's memorial so we finally brought her this time when in Taiwan.

We didnt stop along the way as there was nothing near. The driver did say we can go to Yehliu after the memorial park.

The memorial itself is within a cemetery. Teresa Teng's memorial is at the entrance. Quiet and peaceful.

There are 4 flower vases for you to leave flowers. On the day we were there, the music wasn't playing and according to the gardener, system was down.

We didnt stay more than 10min.

It was raining this February when I visited this memorial park but the beautiful sculpture and the music seranading the visitors makes this attraction a very special site to see in New Taipei. It is a spot where I would suggest you spend 15 min to 1/2 hour. So it is really not a destination site but a value added site on the way to the next site.
There is a lovely mixture between modern design and traditional sculptures.

It was again another site recommended by our guide on the way from Yehliu to Tamsui. Like the name stated, it was Teresa Teng's memorial. Nothing much to explore, except listening to her songs being played softly on the background. People came and left flowers for her. There was a statue of her and a marble stepping piano on the ground. Nice landscaping, tonnes of cacti and flowers covering the entrance of the park. The place was uber clean. The rest of the park was closed, quiet place with lifetime bungalows on the hillslopes, not allowed for visiting. Do not come here at night.

Just a park in the middle of nowhere. It is neat and nice and quiet. I won't spent too much time there for nothing.

Being a great fan of Teresa, I have never known she has such a beautiful final resting place until a Taiwanese friend rang the bell during my last visit to Yilan, Taiwan. We booked a taxi to travel 1 hr to her memorial by the coastal town. The last 2~3 miles leading to her tomb was breathtakingly scenic; with greenery and flower plants along the ascending slope overlooking the blue, open Pacific ocean. Her songs were broadcasted non-stopped via cranky loud-speakers. Though in a sunny afternoon, some mainland Chinese tourists were there before us.. She is an idol for millions of Chinese middle aged men or women..
