This was billed as a visit to an old sugar refinery but it was simply a walk in through cavernous industrial warehouses with old machinery, storage tanks, heavy chains.....There are a few photographs but very little in English to explain the process of sugar production....More

A small museum (you can call it showroom) to tell the history of sugar manufacturing and also some of the old equipment used. Worth to spend time to take a look. After that, go to the other side to try their ice cream (not free)....More

This is the Tate and lyle museum were they made sugar can into sugar we know in bags, its mainly ruins of the out building were the work was done.

When taking the MRT here, you have to try the meat buns right outside the station. They're very popular and fresh. You can watch them make it through a window. Also, walk through the factory and try to imagine yourself back in the day working...More
