The relax atmosphere makes this place a very enjoyable place. Good waterfront scenery, great food, nice people. I went reached there in late morning, had a slow stroll in the street and had lunch. They have some great street food there.

The Dan Shui (or Tamsui River) meanders its way throughput Taipei eventually opening into the Taiwan Strait near Tamsui. There are numerous biking/walking pathways along the river. Several boats ply the water carrying passengers from one side to the other. Numerous bridges cross the river...More

Blue collar seaside resort with all the trappings of Coney Island. Heaps of food stalls selling crap street food, cheap souvenir stands, crowded and filthy water. Really no reason to come here at all if you are a foreign tourist. If for whatever reason you...More

The Danshuei River is pretty short but magnificent. It's wonderful to see it flowing between Bali and Danshuei. You can cross from one side to the other using the Guandu Bridge or taking a boat. From Danshuei, you can take a boat from the middle...More

I found the Danshui area the perfect balance of food, scenery and shopping that you find in any Taipei trip. The Old street had not much of a stand out but one major difference was that it was much less crowded than other streets, which...More

Great place to view sunset. Other than watching sunset, can visit the food and shopping street. Crowded during the weekends with locals and tourist.

We took the red line from Taipei Main Station to Danshui or Tamshui. This is another good place to catch sunset and need much less physical effort to reach than Elephant mountain. This is a romantic place for couples.

Tamsui / Bali District
The enchanting Tamsui Old Street boasts the most

are also well-complimented delectable snacks such as
Ah Gei (bean curd) and fish ball, etc. On Bali left
bank, there is the Ferry Old Street and Wazihwei
Nature Reserve. It is relaxing and comfortable whether
by strolling or cruising through on a bike. Besides
