Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is historical temple which have long history.
It is not a very big temple but nice architecture. One thing is Taiwan's temples have very very impressive architecture and structure. Amazing.
Mazu is always happy to help people.

I went to Heping Island & after I visited it I caned to Tianou Temple. It is just a short walk/cane to the temple and it is just a bit up an alley to see it. I LOVE Buddhist Temples!

I walked across this small temple by chance. It is hidden between 2 shops house which you can overlook. It was under renovation the day I visited, but still the place was tranquil. You can feel the peace of mind.

Walking distance from the busy Ximending District is a temple dedicated to the Sea Goddess, Mazu. Tian Hou is also known as Ximending Mazu Temple. It's like a small simple building outside but when you go through a few more steps going in, you will be amazed by the beauty and vibrant exterior of the Temple. Entrance is free, just be cautious not to disturb locals who worship inside.

a tiny and impressively decorated temple hidden between shops across from the red theater. The entrance dragon columns and doors are impressive and the little dragon fountain is charming. Our tour book talked about a distinctive hemp smell inside but we didn't notice it. Takes about 15 mins to see it. FREE

Very nice little temple in the centre of Taipei. Its roof and interior are beautifully crafted and the staff provided us with a leaflet with further information on the temple’s history.
