Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I have visited this pub a few times now since lockdown was eased and have to say it has become a favourite place to visit. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, nothing seems to be too much trouble. The food is excellent as well, it is reasonably priced and there is a good choice from light lunches to full restaurant meals. I haven't been disappointed yet.
I have no hesitation in recommending this to other and will certainly be visiting again in the future as my sister lives nearby and it is a great place for us to have lunch together.

We visited again tonight for the first time in a (for obvious reasons). We had a table outside - it was warm and we are all still a bit nervous about the virus. (I was shown where the check in and trace code was and went straight back outside.) We were brought a table number in case we wanted to move, and one paper menu (because they destroy them after each use). We ordered drinks and selected our food.

Our waitress came back with the drinks and asked us to take our drinks off the tray, which was great because it reduced contact from others. We placed the order for our food.

There were three of us, and my friends had fish and chips, salmon and I had belly pork. My friends both enjoyed their dishes. They were both raving about them. The belly pork came with mashed potato and glazed caramelised apple in a cider jus. Absolutely fantastic. One of the best belly porks I’ve ever had.

None of us had room for dessert. Great meal and reasonably priced, and excellent service. Thank you to Simon and his team for a lovely evening before I go home.

We moored overnight in Loddon and had our evening meal at the White Horse. The food was excellent and service was first class. Covid procedures were taken seriously and we felt very safe. There was a good varied menu but we both chose the pan fried chicken which was delicious. Lovely friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Away for a long weekend in Norfolk with my husband and I decided to stop for an evening meal. Lovely welcome from lady behind bar. Ordered food which was very poor. I had the butternut squash veggie lasagna. It literally consisted of one layer of pasta covering a couple of pieces of butternut squash, onions and cherry tomatoes. Very watery and had no flavour whatsoever and I couldn't tell if there was any cheese on top. Garlic bread did not have the best taste either. My husband had the steak which looked very anemic. Peppercorn sauce was very watery and bland. Found food to be of a very poor standard and far too pricey for quality.
Very disappointing.

Simon and his staff are the gold standard of hosting.
18 meals for 18 fussy clients, nothing was too much trouble, the food was generous and delicious, I had beautifully cooked salmon and was disappointed I did not have room for a cheese board after. Food envy over the sticky toffee pudding and everyone else’s meals! All plates were satisfyingly cleared.
More importantly than the standard of food, was the warm and friendly welcome we received from all the staff. They made our experience feel home from home, I have no doubt that the next time I visit, The White Horse will be the first port of call.

Visited this pub today as we were in the area. We hadn’t booked but were found a table outside and the owner informed that as they were busy we might have to wait for our food. This wasn’t a problem to us and would rather be told this in the first place.

The staff were so welcoming and helpful and the menu was very varied. We would definitely return to this pub if we are in the area again.

We recently visited whilst on holiday on the Norfolk Broads and couldn’t have been more welcomed. Our two doggy’s were also made to feel very welcome too!
Greeted by a lovely lady called Judith, she showed us the menu and quickly served us refreshments. We sat in the large beer garden and watched the pubs bowls team practising on the green.
Deciding to eat later in the day, we returned in the evening.
Two of the party opted for Cod and chips….this should have been described as Whale and chips as the portion was very large…but the freshness and quality of the cod was excellent! All the food was delicious and lovely presented. No delay on the serving of food. The staff were very polite and helpful, nothing too much trouble even when busy.
A real gem of a pub/restaurant…can’t wait to visit again. Thank you :)

Food & service was amazing. We visited whilst holidaying on the broads & we’re not disappointed. Highly recommend the seabass & belly pork. Staff were welcoming & friendly with great service. Very attentive. We all came away with tummies full & very happy. Catered for coeliac & dairy free. 10/10

We had dinner, with our dog, here during a family break in October half term.

The staff were so friendly, from booking via email to the service on the night.

Food was superb - high quality, well cooked and generous portions. It was a menu that had something for everyone.

We would certainly recommend The White Horse as the perfect dog-friendly, family-friendly venue.
