Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The last station of the Gondola ride from the Taipei Zoo station. Climate is cooler at the top of the mountain, despite the fog that time we enjoyed the scenic view from the station. We went out of the station to try the food stalls nearby. Since the weather was cold (13-degree celsius) we tried some soup with chicken balls, taiwanese sausages, braised pork and sweet corn before going back to the station for our return ride to Taipei Zoo station.

Going up with Gondola is nice. Fast and efficient though the instructions and directions to the Q is not clear. The reception staff at counter is very unfriendly and not patient to tourist query.

When you take gondola 🚠 you will get off on Maokong Station. It little centre on the top with visitor centre, bus 🚌 stops, shops. All navigation, maps and signs available. In case you would like to see many things uphill you count on whole day intensive exercise

One way for under $5USD, great views and a nice long way back if you can take the walk. Tea and cafes along the way and a famous tea restaurant.

I bought ticket through Klook, including a nite ride on HOHO which is also very good. The queue for glass cabin is quite slow as the supply is 1/5th less. One thing that you should notice for not getting queue to normal cabin as if you do so, when you want to change then you have to queue from bottom.

It was quite chaotic and the first sign we saw was after waiting in line for almost an hour ... at which point the sign said it was a 30 min wait from there (it wasn’t - it was less). Getting tickets was a bit confusing - and not just due to a language barrier.

If you go to the Taipei Zoo, please do this activity as it is right outside the zoo entrance. Visit the zoo first, then when you need some time to rest the feet, take the gondola to the top of the mountain. Very relaxing great view of the surrounding area. Very long ride for the price (at least 20 mins). Several stops along the way but suggest going to the top first as can be a wait to get back on from one of the stops. Easier to get back on going back down. Also, every third or fourth gondola has a glass floor to give you a little different view if you want. No extra charge, just get in the glass bottom line. Highly recommend.

Just a few minutes walk from MRT station. Long ride with very reasonable price. Suggest to buy one way ticket as walking downhill from the top, there are a few nice tea houses, most of them have very good views. Highly recommended.
