Well laid out zoo. Lots to see. They had a monstrous corpse plant in bloom! Lots of Asian species. Animals well cared for.

If you don't want to take the gondola, you may go straight to the ticketing booth of the Taipei Zoo. And ride a train going to the top station and walk from their. Hope this helps.

Am sorry but I didn't go to Elephant mountain. But From Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall (green line), you take the red line ( going to Xiangshan) and alight to DAAN STATION and transfer to BROWN LINE to Taipei Zoo.
