Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Magnificent and inspiring by massively planted and well maintained flowers. Suggest to visit during weekdays, thus to prevent crowds and heats.

We booked a cab to tour around Taichung. It costs NT3000 for a day from 9am to 6pm. Sea of Flowers was 1 out of our 5 destinations. It was superb hot and superb crowded with visitors. Initially our agenda includes 2 places of 花海, luckily our cabby advised us that 1 would be enough. There were fascinating exhibitions @Sea of Flowers: Dumbo was made up of mushrooms, pyramids made up of oranges, and dragon made up of dragon fruits.

If you are a flower lover and wish to go, i will suggest picking a good weather and avoid the sun. We went end Nov and the sun was still quite warm. Either that, bring along an umbrella.

We're lucky to be in Taichung during the festival so we decided to check it. Its about 1 hour trip from Taichung. The admission is free and the area is vast. We were there during the weekdays so not many people was there. If you have nothing to do in Taichung I recommend you to go but it really has nothing there but flower. After 1 hour we pretty much see everything.

Upon arrival after making payment, was very excited because there's alot of flowers to take pictures! So happy!! Do pray hard that it is not rainy, it can be slippery and muddy. Not too crowded here which is good. :)

This place is so pretty with colorful sea of flower beds, even my young boy enjoyed so much. We came around 4pm+ and weather is very cooling and there's many nice spot to take photos with these colorful flowers. This place is different from the big Flower Expo and it is an outdoor park. They also sell some organic strawberries and tomatoes which are sweet and you can buy to try. Senior and kid will pay same entrance fare.

Not to be confused with the Expo or the Zhongshe flowers. Xinshe is only open for a limited period every year. If going on a weekday, don’t fall for the paid parking. There is plenty of free parking available near the entrance.
Multiple patches of different types of flowers. Very colourful and pretty.

This is a great place for the photo fanatics! You will find that this place offers you tons of photo taking opportunities!

However, if you are not that awfully keen for such photography, then you can skip this place.

Was there as part of the arranged visit and find it ok.

It is just wonderful! As its name shows, it is a sea of flowers: cosmos in December. If you go to Taichung in this season, to visit this place is a must. If you have a car, it is convenient. Otherwise, you can take a public No 270 from Taichung, get off at Zhongxing Ling and walk about 30 minutes.
