Lot of tourists come here to see the changing of the guard. I have seen it a few times during my visits of Taiwan (even caught a rare mishap when one of the guards dropped his rifle while flipping it) but it is always fun. The memorial hall also houses lots of information about Dr Sun as well as special exhibitions of various nature. You do need to have some sense of modern Chinese history to fully appreciate everything there but it is worth a visit regardless.

It is a short walk from the MRT station and you can see Taipei 101 which is not far away.

The memorial hall is situated with beautiful gardens around it. Entry is free and the exhibition is interesting and gives information on Sun Yat Sen’s life history .

There is a huge hall with a statue of Sun Yat Sen but no where as big as the memorial hall and statue of Chiang Kai Shek.

There is a changing of the guard every hour.

There weren’t many tourists , probably due to the Corona virus situation, but on entry everyone was temperature checked and there was hand sanitiser available.

In the galleries there was an exhibition of paintings in the traditional style which was really interesting to view.

As Sun Yat Sen is considered the father of modern China, this is worth a visit if you have an interest in Chinese history. Also as Chiang Kai Shek was part of his history , then its even more pertinent for Taiwan’s history.

The memorial hall is really large. It is very easy to find. The metro station is close to the main entrance. The gardens are very well kept! There is an excellent coffee shop in one of the corners with wonderful ice cream! The views of Taipei 101 in am and pm are wonderful.

Yes, see the change of guard but only do that. Visit the museum on Dr. Sun Yat Sen and the other galleries with temporal exhibits and spent time there. The exhibits are on mainly on modern art created by many artists, mainly from Taiwan. Art is inspiring and combines modern elements with Taiwanese tradition and history.

Entrance is free. Not crowded at all. We stayed there for 3 hours.

Sun yat sen memorial park greets you with beautiful gorgeous landscaped gardens and the stunning colors will make you realize no filter is needed for your photos out here ! Inside there is also a museum where you can read and find out about Sun yat sen's life and times. I was lucky to also find a painting exhibit inside and some of the dancer paintings were just to my taste /! You can also see Taipei 101 from the park and there is also a change of guard ceremony that is nice to partake in to see the honours of the ceremonious procedures.. there is also a pond with fishes here.all in all, a great experience.

It is a design that can see the Chinese modern architecture of the attraction. In the building, you can experience how the founding father of Taiwan was for the process of the Taiwan revolution. However, the landscape of the park outside can not let the people deeply understand it. It’s just a park that can exercise and dance. the monumental value is a little insufficient.

Sun Yat Sen is a towering figure in modern Chinese history, and this building does justice to his legacy. However, the actual exhibits, considering the source material, are a bit thin; would have like more information about Dr Yat Sen. But the building itself is worth the visit, and don't miss the upper floors, which have a rotating variety of art exhibits. And the surrounding park is very pleasant, and it's a quick walk from the MRT.

Easy walking distant to the memorial building from Sun Yet Sun Hall station. The building looks very impressive and the history and display was very informative. There were paintings exhibition in the same building, enjoyed them although it has no reference to Sun Yet Sun. Cannot complain as entrance was free. On the whole, enjoy the exhibits and the grounds.

We visited the memorial with the entire family when in Taipei for my brother’s wedding. It is truly a very beautiful memorial, and it is worth arriving on time
to see the changing of the guards. This takes several minutes for the guards to go through their maneuvers, but be sure to have your camera ready if you want to take pictures. Once the door opens the activity begins quite immediately!

Once the changing of the guards is complete, enjoy a peaceful stroll through the very well-manicured ponds and landscaping.

Not as impressive as the Chiang Kai Shek memorial but has an interesting exhibition about Dr Sun Yat Sen’s life and the founding of Taiwan. The changing of the guards was also interesting. With covid-19 precautions everywhere, your temperature will be checked before you are allowed to enter and there is hand sanitiser at each entrance. It is close to Taipei 101 and you can get some good photos of the tower from here and the surrounding streets.

I came through the side entrance and had a little difficulty finding the memorial hall. After the changing of the guard I checked out the exhibitions of his like - a little hidden, you had to look for them. There are also exhibition halls and learning centers in the building.
