In the end, I thought it wasn't worth it, but I think the native Taiwanese really get into the concept, People were cheering us on and helping us out. There were raincoats there the day we went from previous people ... for anyone to use....More

Going thru this trail is fun and easy but rewarding. All the days we spent hiking was cool. Taipei is really a nice clean place for hikers.

This is usually a place omitted by tourists who came to visit Taroko Gorge because of its difficulty to commute here. Do try to pay a visit here if you are around, the water is so clear and the sight is amazing!

It's my second time revisiting the site. Unfortunately, the Cave of the water curtain is currently closed for the visit due to safety reason. None the less still a trail worth the walk. It's been upgraded with proper walkway now, a torchlight is recommended.

But Baiyang trail is very pretty, esp at the end where you see waterfalls. I think Baiyangtrail is the only thing to do in Tiamxiang. If you have a vehicle, checking out Wenshan hotspring is a good idea too.

Make sure to check the Taroko website for closures. Many are closed due to storm damage from this past year.

The road is an easy walk. There is some danger of falling rocks, it seems unstable at some places. The cave itself is dark, wet and slippery, but children will love it.
