A relatively short hike along a cliff and through a tunnel right off the main road. Recommend out and back, but can walk along road to starting point (very busy, narrow road)

This was a moderately challenging hike we covered in about an hour. It was originally the main trail that the Japanese created to keep tabs on the Taiwanese aboriginal natives. The trail slowly winds up above the current paved road and gave us a higher...More

This was the last trail we visited and were quite exhausted by that time. Luckily this was a short one and we didn't go till the end. Interesting but much simpler. Doesn't have spectacular views like the other trails.

It's an easy trail and I love the dark dark tunnel. Not too long, but long enough to make it exciting. We didn't finish the trail because I needed to walk back to catch my bus. I checked from Google maps, it was good enough...More

This trail is amazingly well signposted and has a number of interpretation boards along the way. It's a relatively easy hike with a gentle incline, a couple of bridges, a short tunnel (light on phone will suffice) and a cliff edge walk on the old...More
