All reviews the river boat ride ambassador hotel both sides night view solar panels chinese new year nice place nice stroll evening stroll sight seeing nice view kaohsiung city cruise riverside gondola boats
There is a love story for this river - parents did not accept a boy and a girl to be a couple and they jumped to the river and died. The boat is driven by solar energy and NT$150 per adult. Only Mandarin language is...More
It’s a rather lovely thing to do post-prandially; a wander along the banks of Love River. There’s a pedestrian only walkway and the lights glimmering on the rippling water is rather enchanting.
Another option is to take a boat ride... which is also pleasant.
In the morning , I walked here from my hotel, Ox suites. It would be great to cycle along the Love river.
I came again after dinner and joined the 25 mins cruise (NT$150). I boarded the boat opposite to the Ambassador Hotel. It was...More
This is nothing special, really, but makes a nice evening walk as the banks are lit up at night. Yes, there are restaurants along the river banks, but one is better off going to one of the buzzing and famous street markets in this city.
We went in the day instead coz of the limited time we had. Weather still hot in mid December. Guess it would be better at night. There are restaurants by the side of the river, mostly not open in the day. Nothing really much.
In warm Kaohsiung weather, Love River is a nice place for evening walk when temperature is relatively cooler. River cruise cost NT150 per pax and last around 20mins. Board the river cruise near Ambassdor Hotel. Gondola boat ride also available along the river.
Kaohsiung' weather is usually hot, so Love River is a good place for taking a walk. Especially after having dinner at Ambassador Hotel, there is a really tasty Dim Sum restaurant at hotel 's second floor.
I’m a fan of the groups of bars set up beside Love River, and have enjoyed their hospitality more than once. But this trip (November) the mossies were out in full force, and the bars had nothing, not even a mosquito coil, to drive them...More
Walked along the river from 2-28 Park to Pier 2. A good chance to see a cross-section of how the city lives from people at play to homes and more. A nice tree-laden environment to while away an afternoon.
