We visited this high altitude, shallow, fresh water lake near the Dhauladhar range approximately 9 km from Dharamsala in Kangra district, Himachal Pradesh last year. Both my wife and I drove down to this lake. Very serene. Very photogenic. Crystal clear water

It is one of the untouched place of Dharamshala. To reach Kareri Lake, one has to first reach Ghera Village which is 20 Km from Dharamshala. You can hire a taxi to reach there. It is 14km long trek which includes a lots of stairs...More

Hi, Its totally depends upto your stamina, its upto you if you can do a total trek of 26 kms from kareri village to kareri lake and back. Not a good idea, as per my opinion you should carry your own tent or you can contact... More
