We had an amazing afternoon with these gentle giants. We enjoyed learning about each of the elephants being cared for and all the information about elephants in general but the best part of the afternoon was being able to take a walk with the elephants.

All our guides attained external nature guiding qualifications and are also experienced elephant keepers. We are glad that you found your interaction to be not only informative but also rewarding on a personal level. Hope to see you again soon. The Elephant Team

Thankyou Thandi, Jambo and Marula. You are beautiful, gentle giants and our family very much enjoyed visiting you today. Our guide Patrick was very informative. He clearly has worked with these animals for many years and his love and respect for them shone through. He...More

Your respect and concern for animal welfare is evident from your review - we are honoured to host people of your calibre at our sanctuary. Greetings The Elephant Team

Calling this a sanctuary is a disgrace. This is a zoo where these poor animals are subjected to 'performing' for our entertainment. If elephants happen to end up in a sanctuary, an ACTUAL sanctuary, then they should be allowed to still live as a wild...More

We had great time at elephant sanctuary, awesome and most friendly staff. I was a bit scared but the fear just disappear the moment I first made the first contact with a very big elephant. I recommend this place

This is an enjoyable place to go, but very expensive. I know that elephants eat a lot but the price would be prohibitive for a lot of people. The handlers are very good and the animals trust them. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly and...More
