Best day ever!

Today we joined the wonderful people at Domain Saint Hilaire for a hand picked grape harvest and it was absolutely wonderful.

Yes, it’s an early start, softened by croissants and coffee, yes it’s hard work, but you learn loads it’s an amazing experience and you get to meet fun people. Plus how often can you say you’ve done something like this?

We worked from 0800 to just after 1200 then had a most sumptuous lunch with wines (truly wonderful wines), then some bottles to take home as a thank you.

Can not recommend this highly enough and everyone is so pleasant, the wines are very, very good.

Can’t wait to do it again next year

Many thanks again for your help. The hand harvest is our favourite time of year and it is so wonderful to be helped by such lovely people. A very special day.

Wonderful wine and food
Aug 2019
Located just less than 10km/6miles from the A75 - our main route back to London, we arrived through fields full of perfectly curated vines. Turning into the drive, we parked just outside the chateau – a beautiful structure dating back to the pre-Napoleonic era. Domaine Saint Hilaire doubles as a vineyard selling to both wine merchants and the general public, and also operates as an outstanding 'bistrot'. We were lucky and got a tour of the facilities and met the team. When we learnt that this self-sufficient vineyard was bought a few years back by the charming Nick and Lisa Kent – and has been increasing quality and yield steadily since then, now producing over 16 outstanding award-winning wines. We would highly recommend it as a wine-buying stopover or simply for a relaxed, satisfying lunch.

A group of us revisited Saint Hilaire, having been there 3 years ago. We found it has still the magical charm that we remembered and the staff namely Izabela, was fantastic. We enjoyed a great wine tasting experience, a wonderful lunch, and treated ourselves to a number of bottles of wine to take home. Highly recomended. We will be back again.

FantasticTasting & Tapas
Jun 2017 • Couples
We had previously stayed at Domaine Saint Hilario back in Oct 2014 but wanted to return to try the current vintage of wines they have available.

We arranged a time to visit ahead of our trip and were very well looked after by Izabela. We tasted over 10 of the wines that they currently have available and found the quality to be excellent. Izabela had also prepared a lovely selection of cheeses, meats & bread and after the tasting we then enjoyed retasting a couple more wines (well actually our favourites !!!) in the garden as we enjoyed dessert.

For the tasting and the tapas we were charged just 30 Euros so fantastic value for money and we ordered a half a mixed case to be sent home.

A lovely afternoon and Izabela was both pleasant, knowledgable and great company. I would very much recommend everyone to go and try their wines - you won't be disappointed.

Historically interesting Domaine in the Herault.

Very friendly reception by all staff. Professional and knowledgable demonstration of winemaking.
We tasted 8 different wines under guidance. Plenty of time for each wine.
Then we moved over to a sumptuous dinner at poolside. Four course dinner with different St Hilaire wines, €40 each (incl. wine).
3 to 4 hours well spent in a relaxing atmosphere with polite and friendly local staff.

You get the whole experience here with tour around the vin yards a home cooked lunch in the sunshine with your favourite choice of wine.
An English family run business very thorough & an imaginative presentation of the wine tasting very well done making it an exceptionally enjoyable day.
These are group events where you are picked up by a tour guide, minimum numbers of people apply.

We had a really nice time here. We walked some of the fields and the production facilities, and learned about the process of making the wines. Then we tasted various wines together with some light food. Excellent!
