This was so majestic! It was misty when we went there, but we could still see this huuuge statue! It is utterly breathtaking, if you haven't seen it for yourself you definitely must go and see it!

We visited Big Buddha in early morning, very peaceful and nice view from top of mountain. Do not forget the small store selling local "Fried Campedak". (Similar like Jack fruit).

This amazingly HUGE Buddah was incredible. No fee to go in but they do rely on donations . It is still very much under construction but worth the visit.

When we visited this Buddah was still under construction. Nevertheless this Buddah is most impressive with beautiful views. This is a must see attraction.

This place seems underdeveloped. There are a few shops which we patronised to get rain coats. But other than that nothing much to do but offer incense and look at the big Buddha. We made similar trips to Buddhist Temples and icon around the world...More

This statue is amazing at 45mts high x 45mts wide, truly incredible. I was also very fortunate to be blessed by a Buddhist monk which made this a very memorable occasion.

Nice place to visit and provides a wide landscape. The road to get there is a challenge for those who love to hike... we took a taxi...tuk tuk might also be an option.

I think No...I saw a few taxis in the parking lot but they seem to be the one already booked by the people visiting the Big Buddha.....The safer bet will be to hire a taxi and visit the place......Alternatively, if feeling... More

There are no buses that will take you directly to Big Buddha. It's a 40 min trip from Patong so I would recommend. Private taxi and then take in a few other sites . Taxi will be the cheapest in the long run Big Buddha is... More
