Beach access and Lighthouse tower are currently closed due to renovation of the Fort. All of the antiques memorabilia have been removed for construction purposes. However, the outdoor church is worth paying a visit. The fort might reopen in March or April 2019.

I remember when its saturday or sunday. We love to go to Cotta. Its so relaxing for a busy bee students then. And its a place for every body. Cool

Do not let the word "beach" mislead you into thinking it is alright to swim here. The water is filthy so unless you have iron skin or swimming in dirt water is your kink then don't take that plunge. Nothing special to see here. There...More

Nothing. Literally "just a beach". Black sand beach with concrete seawall. Was there in the afternoon at around 2pm and there were only few people around. It is just beside the port area and at the back of Cotta Fort.

Small, black sand beach outside the "cotta," the historic fort of Ozamiz. The beach is beside the port area, and the water looks bad. But people bathe in it anyway. There is a concrete breakwater wall. Food stalls selling "balut", grilled chicken and seafood, non-alcoholic...More
