Had a birthday party here recently lovely day out apart from one very rude and ignorant old wrinkly woman who had a problem with everyone ruined the experience for everyone with her attitude. The rest of staff were lovely but won't be back due to attitude from this person who spoiled our day unfortunately.

Taking advantage of the good weather I took our daughter and grandchildren - aged 2 and 9 ,to Rosepark for the day, we had a fantastic time.

We knew it was picnic friendly so made up a pack lunch, took the towels as we knew about the lagoon and off we went

The 2 year old loved every second of the day. He walked the whole of the park without a whimper because every corner had something new for him to see, be it a big tractor slide, the Fairy trail or the goats running free, he was so excited at finding something new he was happy walking. The 9 year old also had great fun on the zip wires and just loves the animals in the petting hut and the exotic house, and they both had great fun on the bouncy castles and paddling in the lagoon

We used the picnic tables at the lagoon. Very very impressed with how clean everywhere was. With the amount of families there and children running around, litter free and whilst there was sand, the lawns were spotlessly tidy

We bought slushies and ice creams and paid for the quad ride, all very good prices and the only extra costs after the very very reasonable entrance fee. As my daughter said, it cost £5 just to park the car up at their park and theres nothing other than a park to walk around. She said it was the best day out she has ever taken the kids too. What she particularly liked was the playground equipment was designed for toddlers, they could use it safely, none of these rope net things they had to use to climb up and narrow beams to navigate , there was proper ladders and the walkways were broad

We spent 4 hours there and only left because the 2 year old was worn out

A brilliant day out and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to a family

We took our 2 year old to Rosepark Farm when we were staying in Bushmills in August 2023. The farm is quite spread out so definitely would recommend a buggy for little legs. There was a variety of animals - we saw a lot of goats, a shetland pony, a donkey, a couple of sheep and we spotted some highland cows as we drove out. It was a drizzly day but we spent about 3 hours there. We live on a farm and my son is tractor mad - unfortunately there wasn't a single tractor which he was quite disappointed about but I understand that maybe there aren't tractors on show every day. At £5 each the farm is good value. There was a good petting zoo, bouncy castles and indoor under 5s play area.

There were some cons -
Rosepark is cash only. Thankfully we saw this on the website before we arrived but could be a big inconvenience if, like me, you don't usually carry much cash. Being in a rural setting, there are no ATMs nearby and you would need to drive to Ballymoney to get one.

The food provision wasn't good at all, especially for a place which is aimed at kids/families. The 'beach hut' serves crisps, sweets, and drinks, but we had to go to the tearoom to get anything for lunch. When we got there, the tearoom only served pre-packaged sandwiches, but nothing plain. It was chicken tikka, ham salad with mayo, etc. They didn't have anything catered to childrens' lunches. You could also have got tea/coffee, scones, buns and crisps/chocolate bars. All the bakery items seemed to be bought from Lidl. There was a bbq outside where you could buy a burger or a hot dog. I felt there could have been more of an effort to cater for children such as plainer sandwiches like ham and cheese and fruit snacks . Most people had brought picnics and we were the only people eating in the tearoom - obviously everyone else knew the food provision wasn't good.. there were also a lot of flies in the tearoom..

Avoid this place if you have a guide or assistance dog as you will be refused entry at the gate. Reason given was that the goats running wild on the farm would attack the specially trained dog and there was no insurance policy in place to cover this so beware coz if these animals would attack a dog then they would also attack a young child!! This is not mentioned on their website so I trust this review will prevent any other family from the disappointment that the family felt yesterday. Unfortunately you won't find this information on their Facebook page either as all comments are deleted & persons commenting are being blocked.

This is an absolutely brilliant farm with so much to do, this is easily an all day experience. We went on the 28/07/23 and whilst there was a little drizzle it was a brilliant day! There were little rain huts around the farm as well as lots of shelter to sit under. The animals are so well looked after and happy walking around, the petting zoo was the highlight of our visit stroking kittens and Guinea pigs and so much more. There is a little beach, lake, a few play parks, huge zip lines, free rides and bouncy castles! Living in Manchester this whole experience would be about £20 per person so to find out it’s only £5 was crazy! Will definitely be back especially knowing it’s a family run farm 🥰

So went here on a day where the weather wasn’t great. Enjoyed the walk, Fairy village and all the animals. Beach area would be great on a sunny day. Grandchild (3) loved everything about it. Plenty of picnic areas and the food bought in the cafe was very good and at a great price. Entrance price was excellent and we didn’t have to walk through a shop to get out.

Fun play things for little kids but the animal welfare is certainly questionable. Husbandry and housing seemed poor, small and run down for many animals. Three kittens living in a small cage with no mother in sight for public to handle was most unusual. Large stags in small shed enclosures for public to look at. Most disturbing was a row of barren kennels with no bedding or toys just a water trough and a depressed looking dog in each. About 6 in total. A sign declared they were “working dogs”, but when French Bulldogs have ever been used as working dogs I don’t know. If felt very off and we left with a bad taste in our mouths.

Hi Cat, Your review is questionable? And very easily could of been answered if queried on your day of visit instead of leaving a very unfair review on the internet... I don't need to go into detail here as I know all my animals are well cared for and we are regularly inspected from councils. All the best!
