The park is beautiful and suitable for those who live in big cities in Guangdong and would like to appreciate 'the nature at a city nearby. BUT if you don't live in Guangdong, I don't recommend you to fly for a long distance just to walk around a park here. It's not that special.

Could be embarrassing for some women to see a huge naturally formed rock that looks like a male organ, geological enthusiasts would have a ball.

Went with a group of friends. Had a fantastic tour guide. It was cold raining and windy but it did not ruin the experience one jot. First we saw the male stone and the Temple at the top of the mountain followed by the female stone. Then we took a boat down the river which was very pleasant. The mountains... More

Almost everyone will need to access this park via Shaoguan. In Shaoguan, go to the bus station next to East railway station. From the river, the bus that goes to DanXiaShan is on the right side. Busses leave about every 10 minutes and tickets are purchased on the bus for 16rmb. The trip is just over an hour to the... More

The place is really good. It is around 56 Kms away from Shaoguan. You can take hotels just at mount Danxia but if you also wish to visit this beautiful city Shaoguan then you must stay at some hotel in Shaoguan. Go to Shaoguan east railway station and take direct bus or shared cab which will charge nit more than... More

At about a 1.5-2 hour bus or train ride from Guangzhou, this place is great for a 2 day, 1 night getaway. The tickets cost 150rmb, and grant you 48-hour access, multiple entry, and free use of the in-park shuttle service. The rock formations and trails allow you to walk, climb, and crawl your way to fantastic views and sunsets.... More

This large national park is just a 50 minute train and then bus from Guangzhou. We stayed in a bed and breakfast in the small village just inside the park's entrance. The park is well-signposted and there are a multitude of walks and sights to see. We went walking in the "male stone" area of the park on the first... More

Large national park with fresh air and amazing landscapes. Lot of room for various hikes, and breathtaking views. Good variety of different things to see and do, this was a fantastic getaway from the big industrial cities. There are no western tourists, but many Chinese visitors. Some of them wanted their picture taken with me, so rare are western visitors.... More
