Although the tomb is a bit outside Pristina City Center, it is definitely worth paying a visit. The guide is very knowledgable and the place is interesting specially if you're into history.

Given that everybody's version of historical events differs, I think my guide did an excellent job of portraying the events insightfully, interestingly and did his best to present an unbiased view of the facts as well has highlight the historical inaccuracies and uncertainties. He also managed to present his information with skillful humour. Visiting the Tomb of Sultan Murad was a great way to get to know just one piece in the puzzle of Kosovo's long and complicated history.
To get there, catch the bus headed for Mitrovica from the main bus station in Prishtina. After about 10minutes, keep an eye out on your left for the large sign for the Sultan Murat Turbe... ask the driver to stop as soon as you see the sign. It is about a 350m walk from the main road down a dirt track/road. There is a café/mini market next to the sign on the main road. The trip costs 50cents on the bus but you need to ask the driver to stop. From here you can walk back along the highway towards Prishtina about 2kms, cross the road "Balkan Style" (i.e. there is no crossing) and head up the hill to the Tower at Gazimestan.

I visited here just after visiting the very nearby monument to the 1389 Battle of Kosovo and I found this place key to understanding regional history. Sultan Murad was killed at the Battle of Kosovo and his tomb has been redone and then more recently restored. You can enter the tomb as long as you take off your shoes. There is a small museum by the tomb as well as a small mosque. I found the museum very helpful for understanding both the Battle of Kosovo (there is no interpretative signage at all at the nearby monument) and the wider history of the region during the Ottoman Empire era. The museum includes maps of troop movements and other information to help understand the Battle as well as rooms on various aspects of history, life, and culture under the Ottomans. Almost all of the museum signage has been translated into English. I was given a tour in English of both the tomb and the museum by a very enthusiastic employee whom I unfortunately personally couldn't fully understand, though the person I was with didn't seem to have any issues understanding. Still I greatly appreciate the time they took to show us around.
Highly recommended.

Worth it just to talk to the guide, Muamer, about the battle and the history of the Sultan. He's very friendly, informative and passionate about history. The museum is good and the tomb is well looked after.

The Tomb of Sultan Murad (also known as Meşhed-i Hüdâvendigâr) is a mausoleum (türbe) dedicated to the Ottoman Sultan Murad I located in Kosovo Field, in the Prishtina District of Kosovo.[a] It was mentioned by Evliya Çelebi in 1660.
Murad I (nicknamed Hüdavendigâr, meaning the "God-liked one" or the "sovereign" in this context) was killed in the Battle of Kosovo in 1389. His internal organs were buried in Kosovo Polje and remain to this day in the tomb at the site. The tomb has gained a religious significance for the local Muslims. Murad's other remains were taken to Bursa, his Anatolian capital city, and buried there in his second tomb at the Hüdavendigâr complex in Bursa.
The monument was built by Murad I's son Bayezid I, becoming the first example of Ottoman architecture in the Kosovo territory. It has recently been renovated.
