Great thing to do on a rainy afternoon in Yorkshire
Friendly and interesting. Great to see the passion for locally focussed sustainable business. Group small enough to engage. Tasting of the products in a lovely atmosphere finished the experience off nicely.

    Best experience ever
What a fabulous experience we had. The whole tour was a perfect blend of background data, technical knowledge in everyday terms combined with a magical interaction from all of the group. Most of which had never met each other. Mark was a perfect host. At the end of the experience we had a tasting experience which thanks to Mark and Ruth meant we received a perfect blend, pardon the pun, of delicious drinks, knowledge and banter. It was like sitting around the table with friends you have known for years. This was a gift experience from our daughter, but Cooper King Products and experiences will be the answer to my birthday and Christmas dilemmas from now on. Will defo return, especially when the whiskey is ready for tasting.

    Very interesting tour.
We had a very enjoyable time with our guide who showed us where the gin distilling is done and she was very knowledgeable about the process from start to finish which made our tour very interesting. Afterwards we got to taste virtually everything they produce and there was also the opportunity to buy the gin and related products. The fact that this is the only carbon neutral distillery in the country made it all the more interesting. Very enjoyable couple of hours and would certainly recommend .

    Great day
Great tour very knowledgeable guide. Made tour interesting and very friendly. As I was designated driver I didn't participate in the gin tasting at the end but I received a goody bag to enjoy when at home. Lovely day enjoyed by my husband and I (I had bought voucher for his birthday) thank you

York, Whisky, Gin what’s not to love!
Abbie and Chris are great hosts and very knowledgable and passionate about what they are doing at CooperKing. A very enjoyable afternoon sampling their range of spirits. Well worth a visit. Only a short bus journey from York. On the 40 bus to Sutton on Forest. A little bit of a walk from there but worth it. We Just missed out on the release of their eagerly anticipated Whisky but a definite reason to return. ❤️

    A simply wonderful experience
A visit here resulted from my winning it as a raffle prize. We thus discovered an outstanding family enterprise just 20 minutes' drive from home and within easy reach of York city centre by car or taxi. The latter might be advisable since the whole point of visiting a distillery is to sample the products. Thankfully, a gift pack of two samples is offered to drivers on request. Our guide was Ruth whose warm welcome, interesting talk and informed explanations were all absolutely first class. Her experience as a primary school teacher came through in the clarity of her presentation, but it was her warmth and humour that lit up the whole visit, along with the cooperation and cheerfulness of the rest of the group who joined us for the tour. We were ten in all eight women and two men and quickly became relaxed and happily chatty in one anothers' company, again thanks to Ruth's encouragement. We were impressed by the knowledge of some of our fellow guests about gin and how it is made. We were equally impressed by the distillery itself. How could such an apparently small premises be supplying some of the nation's most famous outlets, such as Selfridge's, alongside some of the absolute best among local restaurants and other providers, such as the Durham Ox or Tommy Banks's establishments? To find out, you need to sign up for this wonderful experience, which only takes a couple of hours. For us, it was one of the most rewarding that we have ever had in our travels, including those in Europe, Asia and elsewhere around the world.

    Afternoon visit experience
Great place to visit. Very informative talk. Tastes of what is available were enjoyed by participants. Drivers were given samples to take home. Company uses very sustainable methods and puts so much thought into the designs and labelling of bottles. Definitely worth supporting

    Lovely tour
Really well delivered tour of the distillery which gave a lovely view into the motivations of the owners and their story without being preachy or selly 😁. Lots of samples to taste and well managed group sizes made it a really relaxed experience. The elements that make the whisky process different because of the sill and its paint were really fascinating as were the environmental friendly processes.

    Top Yorkshire distillery tour
We spent a fantastic afternoon on a tour of the Cooper King distillery. I have been waiting to tour this newish Yorkshire distillery for a few years until the first edition whisky had been produced. I was not disappointed. We arrived early and were made to feel very welcome by all the staff. The tour itself was extremely informative and enjoyable. Mark was an excellent guide, answering all our questions. The back story is fascinating and the ethical stance of the business is laudable. We were able to taste numerous spirits and the gins and whisky are really good. You certainly get value for money. This tour is highly recommended.

What a fantastic place. John and Ruth gave us such a warm welcome, their enthusiasm and love for the distillery and products came through instantly and was so infectious. The tour was insightful and interesting throughout, and the samples at the end were delicious (And I don't usually like gin) I've been waiting years for these guys to produce their first whisky, and it was well worth the wait! We will definitely be back. Thank you guys

Many thanks to Mark, John and the whole fantastic team. We enjoyed their tour and tasting so much, what incredible products. Where to start...the Basil and Berry gin, gorgeous. The Herb Gin....unreal. The whisky....a triumph. Also very refreshing (literally) for a distillery to share it's new make spirit. It shows that this lovely, friendly little outfit are on their way to great things. We were all very happy as we were driven home. There may even have been some singing....
