PLEASE PLEASE avoid this company! We were taken out in horrific weather that turned into a storm with huge waves battering the boat! Most people were sick and the chap next to me was praying! Very unsafe and generally thought we were going to capsize! The decision to turn back to port was decided upon who was happy not to... More

This is my first experience. So not sure about quality of the other boats. It was good clean boat. bit more noisy maybe. Not crowded much. Saw 2 whales. Overall very good experience. Cost: 2500rs

This was a very disappointing part of our wonderful holiday in Sri Lanka. We were only out at sea after half an hour when people started vomiting. Our hotel had provided us with a pre packed breakfast although there was no way we were going to eat this! After around an hour or so, with the boat rocking backwards and... More

I always say, that I won't get cheaten, but Danushka did very well... We have met one seriously looking man Kamal Ajith Warshavithana, he is originally from Hikkaduwa (I guess working in turism) and we met him in Tangalle. He had pretty long speech about safe boat and VIP zone on the first floor of the boat. The prize was... More

We had booked a whale watching trip with Danushka who told us to arrive a hour early for the trip to ensure getting a good seat. The rows of seats were very close together and as we waited more and more people arrived, mats were placed around the sides and back of the boat and they were told to sit... More

just returned from Whale watching as part of a 6 day itinerary organised by Sri Lankan Dream Tours. it was an amazing experience with a very experienced crew that couldn't do enough for us. They knew exactly where to go as we saw a huge pod of dolphins jumping and spinning out of the water, 2 sea turtles and 3... More

The boats are harassing the whales and chasing them, and if I knew this, I definitely wouldn't have come on this trip. First it takes about an hour to arrive on the spot and then the boats (there were 9 other boats on the day) try to spot whales and chase them after they disappear under water. The boats get... More

Spent the whole morning at the sea and witnessed whales for 7-8 times plus dolphins for 4-5 times at a really nice distance while did not disturbed the lovely whales and dolphins. I think the captain was professional at this aspect. He was also good at spotting the whales and dolphins. No hard chasing but tactfully waited for a little... More

Boat overcrowded, people throwing up everywhere and running side to side almost tipping the boat over. Bad breakfast, a lot of smoke from the engine. Felt more like whale harassing than watching. Saw some whales, dolphins and a turtle but that is not the main thing I will remember...

The experience itself was not OK. I expected more whale watching then whale harassing. All tours seem to meet up at the same spot (there were 10+ big boats) and wait for whale. They provide some very basic breakfast (really dont expect much). Crew of Danushka was friendly; took care of sea sick people, nothing i can complain about. I... More
