This tulou seems to be the top tourist attraction. Busloads of travel groups visit and the noise is just too high. There are many alternatives as this building has been refurbished for tourists. Not recommended.

Lovely place to visit. Local people are so very kind. Lots of walking. We were here during slow time which made the experience much better.

I went there together with my family, without a tour guide, but we managed to follow another group's guide and get some information about the building, which is very interesting. Overall it is a nice place to visit.

Do make the effort to see this piece of local architecture and history even as the place gets more and more commercialized.
