I stayed in the guest house "Delle Vigne" and had an excellent dinner at their restaurant "Guido". We had a fixed menu that contained some white truffle dishes. All the dishes were too tasty to forget, and wine paring with each dish, including Barolo 2001, was also marvelous. It was "one of the best dinner in my life". I would... More

The well in shape Fontanafredda winery, lots of buildings like a whole little village, originally a castle for an illegitimate child of the king of Savoy hosts in Piemontese style buildings besides the big and famous winery also the excellent michelin starred Guido restaurant.

I subscribed for a tour over the domain of Fontanafredda. I visited the cellars, the cantina and all the other buildings. The guide was very good english speaking, the price of the tour was 10€ (normal price) afterwards i could taste 3 wines and bought 5 types of wine with a discount of 10% because i visited teh domain ;-)

One of the larger wineries in the region. A nice place to have a delicious local lunch at a low price while you do a little wine tasting. The staff is super friendly, the dinning room is very modern and light giving you a chance to watch the chefs as they create your meal. The menu changes daily. The purchase... More

This is a a beautiful vineyard with a huge tasting facility, gardens with great walking paths and a very good restaurant. It is worth a visit if you are in the area.

It is rare to find such a large and well kept estate. Fontanafredda has a unique history, and generally seems very well kept. The tour of the cellar and the tasting is a bit commercial, but is still worth it.

Learn a lot, taste a lot, see a lot and walk in the woods. Not as commercial as it might seem. Interesting history of the place and an important role in the founding of the Slow Food Movement.

This is one of the best wineries in the region. We didn't try the restaurant but it looked great and concentrates on local food. There is also a Michelin star restaurant being built on the property. We missed our booked tour on Tuesday by 15 minutes and they rescheduled us for Thursday. Great to hear the history of the property... More
