You can see the rice terrace and sunrise here. reflection of the sun is so nice. The terrace itself is also good to visit. You can walk along the field to get more view.

Entrance fee of 100RMB/person is expensive, but the terraced fields with water in them are picturesque and they are absolutely worth a visit!

The Hani rice terrace is a gorges place. Very unique. Build over hundreds of years and still on use to let a minority to survive. You can find many locations out of the main scenic visitor points to have a awesome view to the terrace....More

We spent 3 days at Yuanyang at stay at Jacky Guest's House. very nice family and the guests house is really nice clean. The view of rice terrace from the guest house is very stunning. We had unforgettable holiday. would love to go back again.

You can have several marvelous views across the rice terraces and the mountain scenery without paying for a ticket. Just ask the management of your guesthouse or one of the drivers of the minibuses, some Chinese knowledge could be helpful. Sure, you need some luck...More

We went there for the market and saw many of the Hani minority tribes. They were shy and didn't make too much eye contacts. But our guide talked to a few and they responded. But I like the variety of the vegetables and food items...More
