A small town museum which has horse carriages, a black smithy, cobblers shop, and many artifacts from fossils to war booty brought back by returning farm boys after WWI. Well worth a look if spending time in Balclutha.
A very large collection of historic items from the area. Interestingly, some items are not so old but have been chosen as in time they will reflect various periods of the region's history. Forward thinking by the director. Well done.

Free entry....step back into yesteryear in this quirky museum at Balclutha...its well laid out has friendly staff and shows good interpretation of the exhibits...you wont be disappointed and they could use your support...not well signposted from highway 1 (100m away) and could use an open/closed...More
