This is an absolute must see in Kyoto. Walk around, spend some time there. It is quite huge with beautiful gardens and authentic atmosphere!! Priceless!

Not too crowded. Very well organized with a lot of great stuff. A bit long walk from the nearby station if no bike. Well worth the effort. In my opinion, much better than many touristy sites of the city.

A wonderful place, but you neex to be on time. It closes at 05:00 PM but after 04:20 PM you can't get in. Wery nice park around, but is better to visit in winther or spring. To hot in summertime.

The old buildings are surrounded by a beautiful park, with cranes and other birds. Even without going into the buildings, it's a very worthwhile location to visit.
