Used during the Winter Olympics, this facility is beautiful and is maintained well. For a fee of Y500 per person, we went up the observation deck at the top of the ski lift. Exceptional views from there.

If you have only little time to spare, this is the place to go to catch a quick view of Sappiro. Though not as high as Mt Moiwa, you can still see Sapporo on a clear day. The ride up on a chair lift takes...More

Our tour guide suggested stopping here and it was worth the stop. You can take a gondola to the top for an excellent view of the city.

I have enjoyed the quick ski lift up to the observatory area. Coffee is good up there too at reasonable prices.

Little town, very little English directions with buses, friendly and helpful bus drivers. We got on the wrong bus to the observatory, but the bus driver took us back to bus depot at no charge. He put us on right bus. So thankful! A small...More

Other mountains are too high to enjoy a view, but here we can see downtown lights just in front of us. And an adjacent museum is enjoyable: my recommendation is ski jump V.R.

Our snow festival tour included a visit to this observatory which provided a great view of the city (it was a clear winter day). There are also panoramic photos with landmarks noted to help orient those unfamiliar with the city. I understand that the ski...More

The area is not easy to get to with public. Best is a cab. We used a private car with the driver waiting for us. Maybe cheaper to just let the taxi go the. Request for another as soon as you finish.
