I went with my senior parent in June. They have never ridden ski-lift before. The staff is very friendly and stop the chairlift for them to ensure they can safely seated. We enjoy a nice ride to the top of the mountain and see the...More

Took the chair lift up to the observatory deck. It was fun for the children. The view at the observatory deck was quite spectacular. We were there at the evening. I guess the view will be even nicer if its at night.

Excellent view of Sapporo city while sipping coffee at the 2nd level cafe. 3rd level is open lookout and great for photos if you do not mind the scorching heat of the sun in June.

We went there in April 2013 with a group tour. The views to Sapporo were good. There was snow on the mountain. Few people were there.

We were not able to go up the JUMP due to it being under construction, but even staying at the foot of the JUMP you'll see the beautiful panoramic views of Sapporo. Accessible by Taxi and Bus - Just about 20minutes from Sapporo Station.

I visited the place in late afternoon. The sunlight offered a good background for the place. The Observatory is a good place to view the Sapporo city. The air is also fresh at the Okura Observatory.

The area is not easy to get to with public. Best is a cab. We used a private car with the driver waiting for us. Maybe cheaper to just let the taxi go the. Request for another as soon as you finish.
