The Kawasaki experience and the maritime museum might be different venues under the same roof, but it does not feel that way. The Kawasaki experience is overwhelming. While there is some interesting information about what Kawasaki has contributed to Kobe and the world, I did...More

The museum per se is only worth two stars in my opinion, and not really worth the visit. However the Kawasaki Good Times World which is housed in the same building and included in the ticket is a mind blower and makes it all worth...More

Not a huge amount here, but some interesting displays and models of ships. Hadn't realised they baked bread in the Port!

The museum offers a lot of ship models (like most maritime museums) but also some hands on stuff that the kids liked. The Kawazaki world of fun was very kid friendly!

Decent collection of Maritime related exhibits, is somewhat overshadowed by an area dedicated to Kawasaki. This area has several fun interactive exhibits, including a flight simulator, train driving simulator etc. Overall, good fun on a rainy day.

This place is hard to miss with its interesting architecture shaped like a “fishing net”. Located in the Meriken Park, Kobe Maritime Museum is dedicated to the Japanese Navy & Maritime. We alight from the Loop Bus, just a short walk ahead. Rather quiet on...More

I spent more time than I expected in this museum as they display a lot of models that make your mind board every ships on display. These models are very well executed, from many various scales and ships type. Old vessels, super tankers, cruise ships......More
