- Dick ZBangkok, Thailand3,821 contributionsClothes, shoes and cosmeticsThis is a large shopping mall with a canal running through it. There are shows with the fountains. On the 5th floor there is the Ramen Stadium: ramen from all the different areas of Japan. You won’t find the real high end brands, these are in Hakata JR Complex, but there is no shortage of shoes, clothes and cosmetics. Recommended visit, especially on a rainy day.Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 12 May 2024

One of the most iconic buildings in Hakata. I loved the water show. It wasn’t as grand as I expect it to be but who am I to complain? It’s free. LOL. You can also take wonderful pictures around the area. But it might take time to find the photo spots. I recommend taking pictures from the ground and not on the higher floors.

This is a large mall (largest in FuKoUka)
Unfortunately we don't have time to Shop as we only stayed at Grand Hyatt, which are attached to the mall.
Do look out for the Big Screen Projection Show with water fountain Not Sure What are the timing but we manage to Catch the last showing at 9pm before the mall closes.
Will definitely stay longer to Shop the next visit to Fukouka

I stayed at a hotel next to Canal City and went there almost every day while I was in Fukuoka.
There is a fountain show using the large fountain in the courtyard at the right time about 5 times a day, and it is quite spectacular. Even if you have no intention of shopping, it is worth coming just for the fountain show alone.
When I was traveling, there was a Disney music fountain show and a fountain show in collaboration with Gundam, and the theme seems to change every time.
The largest fountains that shoot out like explosions are quite loud, so be careful if you are sensitive to sound or are taking children with you.

I heard from word of mouth that the fountain show here is amazing, so I definitely had to come! We came in the evening, and just in time for the show, my granddaughter was already super excited, hearing the banging sound and the water splashing about! It's held every hour!

Just a typical shopping mall with a fountain in the middle that dances along with the music. Place is not too big, not too small, not too crowded. Good to spend a few hours looking around. They have Franc Franc and Disney store.

I went to see the fountain show that runs on the hour and at 30 minutes. I must have been there at the right time, but there was a Gundam-related fountain show, which I really enjoyed. There are Gyukatsu restaurants, as well as stores such as avirex, wego, and right-on. In addition, there are quite a few editing shops. Above all, the coffee shop was really delicious. Please take a walk starting from Nakasu Food Market Street and stop by.

An excellent shopping mall! Great for retail therapy and a bite to eat. There is a fountain show that's fun to watch too. Around 10-15 minute walk away from the JR Hakata Station.
