This area is fully accessible even after dark. There’s so much nature right in the centre of the city, and you get fantastic views of the castle across the moat. Wear insect repellent!

Stunning castle, set in huge grounds. The grounds are freely accessible, entrance fee only payable you get into castle itself. There is plenty to explore even before getting to the castle. Really is a whole day experience, don't rush to 'do' Osaka Castle and grounds.

Don't be intimidated by the steps. Look for the elevators. Plus, the elevators for handicapped and elderly visitors often bypass the long lines.

Anytime from April through to June as far as the weather goes. Timing wise, early in the morning is less crowded so I would aim to get there around opening time to mid-day.
