A MUST do on your trip to Osaka. It was hilarious and we had the best time! It was such a warm and cozy atmosphere. Sat in the first row and I definitely recommend doing so. My mom and I went together!

Hilarious night in Osaka

Small venue stand-up comedy acts, with both Japanese and expat comedians of high quality. Laughed my gentle plums off, I did! But you should RSVP and get there a bit before, to catch the opening. The toastmaster (or whatever it's called) was hilarious, as was the comics. English-speaking with both Japanese culture perspectives as well as tourist-related.

Great comedians and amazing evening, highly recommended

We spent a great evening full of laughs. The staff and comedians were really nice and welcoming. They engaged the audience well. We loved the show, the ambience, the comedians and everything about this place. We will definitely keep an eye out for their shows every-time we are in Osaka. An evening well-spent, and we’ll definitely come back.

Saturday evening well spent !

Went there on a random Saturday with random friends , the comics were great , they catered to the diverse audience and it was just nice to have fun humour that’s a good mix of adult jokes and non-adult jokes .

Unexpected Highlight
Feb 2020
Our final night in Japan and a great way to end our holiday. Special mention compere Rodney Smith and USA transplant Dan Dorman - had our whole family laughing all night - who would have thought such a great show in Japan, of all places.

Open mic night was amazing, the guys' acts were hilarious despite this night being somewhat of a testing ground for new jokes. At ¥500 a head this is more than worth it. Highly highly recommend for English speakers looking for an hour and a bit of great laughs in a wonderful environment.

Hilarious!

We had a fantastic time here. We went to one of the Open Mic nights which was a steal at only ¥500 a head and didn't stop laughing for the entire show. If you're in Osaka and you speak English, you have to experience this!

Osaka is famous for comedy in Japan but it's tough to find a venue for English-speaker, so I very much appreciate ROR for providing that option. The open mic nights are a fun way to sample local talent, even though the expat comics tend to outnumber the Japanese ones. Still, as a venue for English-language comedy it did enable me to see an actual professional stand-up comic who was visiting from the UK so that was terrific.
The biggest problem with ROR is the space itself: very cramped. It's a basement. There are no tables or even proper chairs: I was sitting on a tiny stool among a crowd of other stools. This limits you to one drink at a time and it's difficult to get another when you're packed in as an audience. Still, with no alternatives, I'll be back someday.

Lots of laughs
My husband and I came to see this show and absolutely enjoyed it! We got there a bit early and popped into the little hooka bar/restaurant that is above the "club". Once they were ready to open the doors we popped down some stairs and were in a small room. This is where the show is. It can be quite cozy in there, but you quickly forget as the comedians get you laughing. We loved the audience interaction and the stories. Definitely recommend this as for any English speaker!

ROR was amazing. We had SUCH a fun little evening and it all started there. The 4 acts we saw there were all brilliant. Very smart and observational comedy. The host is also amazing. Can’t recommend it enough. Drinks and food was also brilliant and very reasonably priced. Finally got some decent vegetarian food which was a massive bonus.
