Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Monumental and impressive entrance gate to the Imperial Palace grounds over the massive moat, the Sakuradamon Gate can be seen from afar if you walk along the outer rim of the moat along the eastern edge.
You enter under it and it's quite a beautiful and imposing sight. Free to pass through.

There are actually two gates here with a large courtyard between the gates. The outside gate is called Korai and the inner gate is called watariyagura. Worth a visit when you are visiting the gardens.

Its just another gate of the Edo Imperial Palace complex, but you can find several cherry trees in here, excellent for pictures and very relaxing. Recommended to stop if you visit this area.

The Sakura Diamon Gate is on the South Side of the Palace and is one of the outer (Soto) gates to the palace. It can be accessed from the Sakura-Daimon Station on the Yurakucho line or a walk from the Yurakucho Station on the JR Yamanote Line. It gives a good feel for the history and beauty of the palace gardens

Almost everyone that visits the East Garden somehow gets a picture here of themselves or friends. At this point you are leaving a busy city to enter a tranquil garden.

Historical place. IF you come out from this gate, you can see Capitol on your right. if you turn left, you will be approaching Ginza area. If you come in cherry blossom time, it is very beautiful.

The Soto Sakuradamon Gate is on the south side of the palace grounds and remains open all the time. It allows joggers and bike riding around the south east side of the palace and provides access to the east side where the primary tourist entry points are.
