Do not miss this extraordinary experience and perspective on Tokyo!

Miho Sato and her team leave no detail unattended and are the most gracious and welcoming hosts.

I first went on a Riverboat Mizuha tour during a 2014 trip to Japan and, when the stars aligned to visit again in October 2022, booking another tour was top of my list. It was my partner's first visit to Japan and, as a photography devotee, he was blown away by the unique perspective the tour offers of the city.

I cannot recommend the Mizuha tour highly enough and am already looking forward to future visits!

Dear seb740, Thank you for coming back to us and taking your time to write such a nice review. Your recommendation will be so helpful to those who look for something different when visiting Tokyo. I am happy to know your partner also liked our tour! Bridge illuminations of Sumida River renewed in 2020 are now great photo objects. The tour you first booked is longer and more bridges. Looking forward to seeing you again in another fantastic route.

It was a wonderful evening cruising on the river. Unlike some tourist boats which only give you an audio guide in different languages, the lovely lady on our boat (relatively small for 10-12 people only) gave us the tour in english and we could ask her questions in between. We saw Tokyo from a different perspective and it was just beautiful. We have also got a pretty folder with the map of the waterways and a postcard as souvenirs at the end of the trip. Thank you Riverboat Mizuha!

Dear Road539820, Thank you for joining our Bridges of Lights tour and for taking your time to share your cruise experience on Tripadvisor. We were happy to tell you Kiyosubashi Bridge of Sumida River were modeled after the bridge of Cologne! Very glad to hear you found some value in our guiding in English. Our original paper folder with waterways map was designed by my father. Take care and hope you come home with good memories of Japan.

Our family of four (2 adults, 2 children) had an incredible, memorable private riverboat ride. It was toward the end of cherry blossom time, but fortunately, there were still tons of beautiful flowers for us to enjoy. We also opted for some bento boxes, so it was essentially a beautiful little picnic on a boat.

During our ride we chatted with the owner while her husband drove the boat. They were both super friendly and it was a very worthwhile experience. If you get the chance to take this riverboat cruise, I highly recommend it. You won't regret it!

Dear Rommel family, Sorry my reply has been delayed as I had a problem logging in Tripadvisor dashboard. Thank you for joining us for a private charter and for taking your time to write a review. It was our great pleasure to have you for our cherry blossom viewing boat. We were worried flowers might have gone as the first bloom came very early this year. We are very glad cherry blossom stayed to welcome you. Take care and see you again.

We had a beautiful and informative cruise on the water ways of Tokyo, that was topped off by a great rendition of a song by our boat captain.

Dear 699max, Thank you for joining our cherry blossom viewing cruise. This year was very unusual and cherry blossoms came and went so fast. You were lucky to see flowers in a great shape. Our captain Ben sings a traditional Kiyari song only for a cherry blossom season to give a flavor of time travel back in Edo era as we cruise canals of Edo era. See you again on board. Take care.

We visited Japan during Cherry Blossom season and booked the private boat "cherry blossom" tour. It was fantastic and surreal to see such beautiful cherry blossoms on both sides of the canal. It's definitely worth the money for the private tour. We had a party of six people and Miho and her husband were great! I highly recommend this boat tour!

Dear tdawg924, Thank you for hiring our boat for your private tour. It turned out you chose the best day of the full bloom of cherry blossoms. I am glad to hear you enjoyed our boat trip. Cherry blossom viewing from the boat is really special and doing this by a private charter makes the experience more unforgettable. I do want more international guests to try this! Take care and see you again.

Really enjoyed our City of Water Cruise. The boat is smaller than the others we passed along the way, which made for a casual, friendly atmosphere. It provides a different prospective of the big city of Tokyo.

The cruise was first rate and we really enjoyed it. Viewing Tokyo from the water provides a very different perspective. We had many photo opportunities

The starting pier is well located near the Central Railway Station and the shopping precinct.

The English commentary was excellent and very much appreciated.

Dear Kathleen, Thank you for taking your time to write a review for us. It was our great pleasure to have you on board of Mizuha. I am glad to to know you have found a different face of Tokyo from the water. Tokyo was developed with a network of waterways since Edo Era but even people in Tokyo do not recognize so. We will continue to deliver the value of this hidden heritage. Take care and see you again on board.

Our private boat charter on the beautifully restored Japanese style Riverboat Mizuha was truly the highlight of our trip to Tokyo. To see Tokyo from the water's edge on a river tour is a unique and unforgettable experience. The Riverboat Mizuha owners, Miho and Ben, are a delightful couple who made our late afternoon/early evening cruise so enjoyable - from the delicious Japanese snacks to my request for very cold beer - we were extremely well taken care of. Miho is extremely knowledgeable and can make most any arrangement you would like. I greatly enjoyed our conversations, and sharing our mutual love of architecture. She and her husband, Ben, were wonderful hosts and I would not hesitate to recommend a river tour on the Mizuha as a "must do" experience when in Tokyo. You will not regret it! Thank you Miho and Ben for giving us such a special memory of our trip to Tokyo.

Dear Blaine, I truly appreciate your writing such a lovely review. I am happy our river cruise business brought us an incredible bond to our guests. We are honored to know you enjoyed our private charter cruise on that evening. It was our great pleasure to have you and Patrick at Mizuha, as well as a happy surprise to share our interests in architecture such as Bawa. Tokyo is a city of water but still many of international visitors to Tokyo do not recognize so. You are one of a few people that knows how to enjoy Tokyo in an unique way. Thank you and see you again on board. Ice cold beer is waiting for you.

We had a great time on this river cruise! It was very interesting to see Tokyo from a river perspective. Nihonbashi pier is small and right next to the bridge, so it's very easy to find the boat. The boat was very comfortable, and the captain and guide were wonderful. It was a chilly day in Tokyo, but the boat has heated seats as well as a heated blanket for your lap, and a second soft, furry blanket on top of that. They also provided hot tea, hot chocolate and small citrus fruit for the cruise. It's 90 minutes long and we learned so much about Tokyo and its history during the tour. The guide spoke for 90 minutes straight (1/2 in Japanese and 1/2 in perfect English). We can't wait to go again next year with the rest of our family!

Dear renotraveler2, Thank you for joining our Tokyo City of Water Cruise. I am grateful for your review. Though it was a chilly winter day, nice to hear you enjoyed our tour. We serve complimentary hot drinks during winter season as everybody wants to stay at the front deck instead of the cabin. Tokyo has a long history as a city of water but that aspect of Tokyo has been overlooked even by the people living in Tokyo. Glad we could deliver the heart of the tour to you. Looking forward to seeing you again with your family!
