There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.

Aso Viba is easy to find, right by Ebisu Station East Exit, in the same building as Sunkus Convenience Store. 2nd & 3rd floors house their Game Centre, 4th & 5th floors are for Karaoke (the entrance faces the station, there is another entrance round the corner but i think that only accesses the Game Centre). There is a lift.
Until quite recently Aso Viba was the only karaoke place on the east side of Ebisu station, but now two large Big Echo karaokes have moved in. They may be bright and easy to spot but the prices are really high!
So, back to Aso Viba and their reasonable prices!
I think having greater competition has made them update their song selection (it had always been ok but now seems wider) and also the decor and room quality seems imporoved (brighter and more comfortable).
Staff were friendly and helpful when we called later regarding lost property.
We were a group of 6, had 2 hours of karaoke, some snacks, and several drinks and the bill was a little under 3000 yen per person.
A really fun night out!
