There are countless opportunities to shop in the Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast, Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool. At the Museum of Yebisu Beer you can learn about the beer that was responsible for the town’s name, and enjoy dining at the popular noodle shops in the surrounding area.

    Excellence truly achieved 👏
Ryo is a true maste of his profession. Every time I am on a business trip in Japan, I try to visit him. This time, as he is very busy, I was lucky and got 2 sessions. The combination he does is unique in terms of technique and strength. Stretching and pressure points and the manual release is gentle but very effective. Thanks for helping me again with my posture issues and lower back pain. See you soon Ryo!

    Highly recommend!!!
This massage was one of the best massages I’ve had. I really do feel a difference. I feel more relaxed and less tight. I would definitely come back again if I had more time. Cannot recommend this enough!

    One of the experts!
It’s definitely worth your money to have your body treated in this place. I am delighted to have my visits personally handled by its owner Ryo-san so far. My body was imbalance and inflexible at first and it had been haunting me for years. I have been undergoing a therapy session here to correct my posture and Ryo-san never disappoints me. I always feel lighter every time after the visit and always excited for the next visit.

    Excellent chiropractor massage delivered professionally.
Having just moved to Tokyo, I was looking for a chiropractor massage that helps relieve my muscle stiffness and spine. This was delivered as expected and I’m very thankful to Ryo for relieving my pain and helping me feel relaxed! Thank you!!

    Brilliant experience with Waho-An
After living in Tokyo for over a year, I had been suffering from persistent neck and shoulder pain, coupled with a deteriorating posture due to my desk job. My body felt imbalanced and inflexible, and my search for a suitable chiropractor in Tokyo had been in vain. Fortunately, I discovered Ryo-san, and after just two therapy sessions with him, I noticed a significant improvement in my posture and well-being. Ryo-san takes the time to thoroughly explain the areas that need attention based on my specific needs. As an added bonus, the herbal tea served at the end of each session is not only delicious but also incredibly refreshing!

    Best massage in Tokyo
Came to Ryo with should and neck stiffness. I’ve been suffering with this for a long time. Traveling and carrying bags for the past week has made it worse. Coming into Waho is so relaxing, the place is beautiful and calming. I got the 90 min chiropractor massage and it was just what I needed. The massage included adjustment, posture checking, and much needed stretching. Ryo is attentive and communicates very well. He’s also very kind. Highly recommend booking ahead if you are planning a trip to Tokyo. The booking process is very easy can be done online through the website or google. I will definitely be back :)

    No shiatsu,No Japan
I had been curious about this salon for a long time and finally made it. The treatment was so good that I was surprised even I am Japanese. At first I had to work hard to keep my posture, but after the treatment, I was able to keep my posture naturally. I hope that Japanese Shiatsu will spread all over the world! No shiatsu,No Japan.

While i was visiting Tokyo, i had some sort of sciatic pain, fortunately i discovered Ryo's place. I went there twice and both times were delightful experience. Ryo was very attentive and he helped me so much with relieving my sciatic/hip pain. Later on he also advised me with exercises. I highly recommend Waho An. Thank you Ryo!

    Best Therapist in town!
Ryo San and team is absolutely the best. Sometimes I am skeptical about reviews but this time it was even better than expected. Absolutely luv it and felt so relax afterwards. I will definitely come back again when I return to Tokyo in a couple of months! If you want a great therapeutic massage after a long day of shopping, you have to come see Ryo Dan and his team!

Blissful Escape: Unwinding with Authentic Shiatsu Massage in Tokyo
During my recent trip to Tokyo, I sought out an authentic shiatsu massage experience. This place surpassed my expectations in every way. The atmosphere was serene and inviting. Ryo (the owner)in incredibly highly skilled and tailored the massage to my specific needs, addressing areas of tension and discomfort with precision and care (and I was really sore after 14 days full of traveling through Japan and a LOT of walking :D ) I left feeling incredibly relaxed and rejuvenated. The shiatsu massage was definitely a highlight of my trip to Tokyo, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a truly genuine shiatsu massage experience.

I had a delightful and relaxing time with a long massage after an even longer period of intense stress.

It was my first visit ever to a professional massage salon. Even though I didn't have any particular apprehension, the staff was very thoughtful and gentle. Everything in the cozy facility, from the natural sounds in the background to the furnitures made of wood material, creates a hypnotizing atmosphere. Soft and comfortable change clothing (including hygienic paper underwear for lymphatic drainage massage for example) is provided.

Before starting the massage, the customer is asked precisions about any physical/medical condition, lifestyle routine, and whether there's any area one would like the staff to focus on. The body posture is also checked and commented before and after the massage.

The staff kindly adapts the massage pressure to the customer's body sensitivity and proposes different types of oil or fragrance for wonderful and personalized body care. One drink from a wild range of herbal tea with various health improving properties is served after the massage, based on the customer's taste and health concern.

Finally and more importantly, the customer is given an evaluation about the current body posture/physical issues and advises about how to improve them.
I highly recommend Waho-an as I wish everyone could enjoy a high-quality massage and personal attention like I had the chance to.

This place has 2 private room and you can have 1 on 1 treatment. Each room is completely separated so your privacy can be secured. Of course, waiting room is separated from treatment rooms.
Separated treatment room make you have full extremely relaxation. Administrator of this place can speak English, so I can recommend this place to foreigners. I think it’s good for foreigners to visit this place and have nice relax time.

I've seen Ryo twice now and I can say that he's the best masseur I've had in a while.
Upon arrival, if its your first time he'll give you a form you can fill out to explain any pain points you have.

Before the massage begins, he will go over the form with you, and check the alignment of your body and point out any misalignment or tightness.

He will then goes the areas he will focus on during the session and if needed, a mode of the body (spine in my case). He worked in both alignment and massage.

After the session he went and checked my back alignment again and I was able to demonstrate a significant improvement in my overall posture. The relief from the pain was noticeable.

Post session, Ryo gave me a program that included stretches and exercises to continue do to continually help improve my back problems.

A few days later he followed up via email with the program in writing and also a video tutorial on how to do it properly.

It was an awesome experience and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in the area. The massage, detailed explanation of what needed to be done, and post follow up care Ryo provided are second to none.

Ryo is good in explaining my situation and treating it properly . It’s been very difficult to find a massage to fix the core problems ( not just to feel good only ) especially if you have chronic pain in the back, shoulders , neck and your glutes . His ability to explain in English while he provides the treatment is very useful and makes me understand my situation better . The current space is temporary , while it’s small , it feels clean with good smell and comfortable . After the session , I was provided some Japanese herbs tea , it’s my first time to try and it’s interesting. I hope to improve my back aches and pain with Ryo’s treatment

I had an amazing treatment at Nature with Ryo while I was 40 weeks pregnant. He was so amazing at finding my problem areas and adjusting them as well as assisting with my pelvis etc to get my baby moving. He's a lovely person and speaks great english - and I will definitely be going back for more after the baby comes!

I booked a 60min chiropractic/shiatsu massage for my lower back pain and I can say it was worth it. Marimo san knows what she is doing and provided me with exercices to do at home, also wrote me an in-depth mail about my spine condition and how to take care of it. Highly recommended !

Honestly the best massage I've ever had. Rio is a master of his craft. With his combination of massage, stretches and adjustment, he was able to loosen up parts of my back which have been tight for over a decade.

Upon feeling such relief after the first treatment, I immediately purchased the 500,000円 voucher (which gives 600,000円 value) and have already booked my next appointment.

Thank you Rio-san!

I busted Waho-An NATURE in Tokyo for a Shiatsu massage & skeleton manipulation by Ryo in Aug 2021. He was extremely professional and through . Ryo was extremely good at explaining the skeleton and muscular issues I have. I had an hour and a half work done to me completed by a drink of herbal detox tea. I felt amazing as I left. Ryo also followed up my treatment with instructions of what areas in my body needed further work. I would definitely recommend Ryo and the Waho-An NATURE Tokyo to anyone needing a professional massage and realignment whilst in Tokyo. A must if you are able to fit it in your stay 😊

Decided to get a massage after doing a 20 mile bike tour of central Tokyo a couple days prior 😵‍💫. I had never experienced shiatsu-style massage before (typically lean toward Swedish-style for relaxation) but consider me a convert after Kaito’s expert attention! His fingers were like soreness-seeking missiles and found every needed pressure point. I left feeling like I hadn’t been doing anything for the past 2 days but lounging beachside. Reasonably priced, comfortable, easy to find, accepts cards/cash, and all the staff I encountered spoke excellent English. Easy to book appointment either online or via email. Only downside was my fellow noisy American customers 😒 who chatted through their entire massage and in the waiting area — the noise easily carried into the individual massage suites and was distracting… but not the fault of Nature. 5 stars!!

Ryo is a master. His young looks might be deceiving but he is like a Monk dedicated to the art. I am a musician and needed upper body relief. He was very attentive to my needs and made sure I was not only comfortable but feeling better. It is easy to arrive by taxi. During the treatment, he has a loop of bird calls that lull you into a deep meditative state. And the teas are both delicious and therapeutic. Skip the hotel spa . This is where healing begins. Highly recommended.
