The museum has very few artifacts. The biggest part are ship models, including a large scale model of the Black Fleet in the center of the Museum.

First very nice weather , and then the entrance ticket 50 % off this day. The museum is not so big, but there is a good overview. The vessel is nice but not the same standard as the other old vessel in the port

Great museum on the waterfront with excellent photos and displays; a real treasure house. Don't miss it. We spent 1.5 hours and could have spent more. Good English signage.

The museum and the Nippon Maru seem to be one attraction. Maybe not, but you can hit both at the same time. Tour the ship, then cool off in the museum. Really neat.
