Delicious

This is a famous takoyaki shop in Dotombori area. There is always a queue here.
The takoyaki is delicious and the sauce is good too.

TA TA TAKOYAKI TAAA
Sep 2018 • Couples
I was anxious to try the famous takoyakis from Osaka. We didn't look hard for a place. This place is in the famous neighborhood of Dotonbori. The place catches yor attention for multiple reasons: the big octopus they have in the front and the funny songs they play and you can listen in the street: one of them was the Haleluya, but instead of that it was "Taaaaakoyaki". Really funny. You can also see how they prepare the y a koykis in the street.
Food: I tried the takoyakis with yakisoba and they were amazing. The first bite to the takoyaki was strange I'd say, because it's a texture and a flavour that I'm not used to, but as an octopus lover I consider myself I could say that this is something mandatory to try for anyone that makes a trip to Japan!!

Favourite Takoyaki!
Dec 2018 • Family
This is my favourite Takoyaki place in the whole of Japan. Bought it every day when I was in Osaka last year and sadly I only had time to eat it once this time. Highly recommended! There is pretty much no queue provided you don't go during the peak hours of around 6pm-8pm.

Takoyaki on the street
Oct 2018 • Family
We had takoyaki, among many other street food, for dinner in Dotonbori.
The takoyaki had chunks of octopus at the middle. It was steaming hot and soft on the inside. The sauce was sweet and it was topped with fish flakes and creamy mayo.
So delicious!

Just had to be back for more!
Jul 2018 • Family
These delicious out of this world takoyakies served here left such a lasting impression on us last year that we had to come back for more. We were fortunate to get another rare opportunity to visit Osaka this year and we just had to come back to Konamon Museum, squeezed with the crowd for more of these takoyakies. As before there was a long line but it moves fairly quickly and it was always fun to watch how the takoyakies were skillfully made from scratch. Also got to dine inside the Konamon Museum - there were tables on the 2nd floor and the window seats overlook the Dotonbori canal. Also painted and written on the walls are the documented history of takoyaki and in the 3rd floor you can make takoyaki samples as souvenirs - which is why this place is also a ‘museum’. Do come early as it gets really crowded but definitely worth while. Note there were several restaurants with a red octopus in the Dotonbori area - make sure the sign says Dotonbori KUKURU Konamon-Museum.

Quick service,underdone Takoyaki
Apr 2018 • Solo
This was the first place I went to and I was so excited to try it out. The line moved very quickly- they were also a decent price. You can watch them make it in front of you. When i paid for mine she pulled one from a far corner & it looked old and runny. It was cold & very very underdone. It didn’t hold a shape whatsoever and ran all over like a soup. Everybody else’s sitting next to me had a different texture and were a title more golden. The tako I had were very small as well. The reason I rated it so high was because the toppings were actually really good!

Out of this world delicious Takoyaki!
Jun 2017 • Family
A true Japanese street food gem within the super busy and crowded Dotonbori district specializing in takoyaki - flavorful diced octopus balls fried to perfection. This store is little hard to find as it's one of hundreds of other street food stores, but be patient and make sure it's the one called Konamom Museum with a giant red octopus. Other reviewers have uploaded photos of what it look like. Also there are other stores parallel to the Dotonbori canal with a red octopus, those are not it.
The takoyakis are freshly made and can be nearly scourging hot inside, so while they are bite size, try not to pop one entirely in your mouth as it will burn your tongue. Take small bites and savor it slowly - so good and juicy that you will be standing in line for seconds. It's also fun to watch them make the takoyakis in front of you.
Do not let the long line deter you, it moves fairly quickly. Also like most street food stores in Dotonbori, they do not have tables or chairs so it's mainly buy to go. Little kids will enjoy the takoyaki but please keep and eye on them and keep them close because it gets really really crowded.

Delicious takoyaki
May 2017 • Friends
Chance upon this store as we were on our way out after eating Ichiran ramen. The queue wasn't too long (as it was dinner time) & we decided to give it a try. we were glad that choose this store as the takoyaki was delicious. But one thing to note that its super soft so its kinda break apart when we hold it with our chopsticks. But the moment you put it into your mouth, its so delicious & you won't get sick of eating it, unlike some takoyaki that I had tried before. Its just in front of Kinryu Ramen & besides Daruma! You can't stop eating in Dotonbori :)

Skilfully Prepared Takoyaki
May 2017 • Friends
In a crowded street, travellers will not missed this shop as there is a big octopus replica attracting customers. The Takoyaki are freshly prepared and one can taste crispy on the outside and the soft creamy in the inside with an octopus meat filling. Popular street food but high in cholesterol content.

A must try!
Apr 2016 • Couples
In Dotonbori there are many stalls making and selling Takoyaki, but this one is special. Just by looking at the skills and techniques of the folks at Konamon in making the Takoyaki using a pair of chopstick will set them apart from the rest. Every piece was made to look the same and are mouth-watering! They are churning out Takoyaki so fast yet the line was never ending during the cherry blossom season so every piece you get is piping hot!
