We went there 20minutes before the closing time and were able to join the glow worms tour. The tour guide was speaking so fast My family from oversea was unable to catch a word.
Then we were told we could go to the frog exhibit. In the frog area, a lady showed up and told us she was going to lock up and we needed to leave. She started to switch off all aquariums and told us to leave the building. We didnt have time to see any frogs.
Then she followed us back to the entrance and repeated 3 times she was going to lock the toilets.
Overall we felt rushed all along. I understand they have a closing time but they shouldn’t accept visitors past 3pm if visitors dont have time to complete the experience.
We paid over $40 and spent only 20mins on site before being pushed to the car park. Wont recommend this overpriced place to anyone.
We feel ripped off.

Terrible, just not worth the time and money spent. I took my 3 primary kids and a friend of mine for what o expected to be a great eco experience. Long drive to get there. And when you get you see a nice winery offering tasting but you are directed to an old door, with old furniture to rendem your ticket.

Then you are asked to stay at a “waiting area” until a tour guide come and get you. Long wait and a bunch of people get together until this uniformed guy call everyone to walk to the cave.

You walk longer to get into the cave than the actual size of the cave. Then you get inside this completely man made cabe at the back of the winery and you are asked to sit and watch a video that lasts longer than the actual glow worm sighting, siting on plastic chairs.

After a torture video at a hot place, you are finally directed to see the attraction. The tour guide opens a door (literally a door) and all group of around 30 to 40 people get aligned on this narrow path with another door at the other end. All the group fits exactly at this path. O extra room at the back or at the front. The guide starts speaking about what was spoken at the video while you try to figure out if what you see is actually real or not. Everything looks so bad that you starts getting into disbelief mode… and people make a few questions, the second door opens and it finishes!!!!

Soooooo bad!!!! My kids were so frustrated… I would never go back again and would never recommend it to anyone.

A number of my family members were really looking forward to this excursion, but we left feeling underwhelmed and disappointed by the rudeness of a couple of staff.

I understand that being busy at Christmas time is to be expected, but our tour set of late and returned early - so we only experienced a shortened experience. The actual tour was very underwhelming and certainly not worth the admission price.

When speaking with a number of staff, we found them to be very poor at listening and very rude in their responses. Suggest you employ people who actually understand what customer service means!

Save your money and go elsewhere. There are so many other options on the Gold Coast.

Dear Sean, we appreciate you sharing your feedback. Friendly customer service is usually a strong point for us; it's unfortunate to hear that we missed the mark on this occasion. We would like the opportunity to investigate your feedback further.Could you email me at glowworms@cedarcreekestate.com.au? We’ll work with you to try to resolve any issues. My Children are 9, 12 and 13. We made the trip to Tamborine Mountain to check out the Glow Worms as my wifd had been wanting to do it for years. It cost about $45 for the 5 of us and the Glow worm tour went for about 30 mins. The Tour guide Dayna, was very knowledgable and made the kids laugh, overall being a good experience. The kids also loved checking out the Frogs aswell. If you are in the area, definately worth a stop.

A heart-warming story in these times of species extinction and habitat loss due to land-clearing and global warming. At the Tamborine Mountain Glow Worm Caves, you can see glow worms up close while hearing all about their life cycle from an expert. It is very easy to access (no rough bush tracks or steps) on a good boardwalk through a small section of rainforest. Once inside the cave, there is a short video to help accustom eyes to the darkness then a short, flat walk into the inner cave to see the glow worms. After visiting the glow worm cave, be sure to check out the adjoining Frog Hollow which gives you the opportunity to see different species of frogs. A few steps here, but nothing onerous.
Definitely a great educational experience and a wonderful opportunity to see a species that is declining in the wild.

(1) We felt cheated because the cave did not look anything like the picture in the brochure, as attached.

(2) Entrance fee AUD 19 per pax. For what we experienced, it only worth AUD 1. Not kidding. Money wasted. For three adults in my family, we spent near to $60 on the entrance fees. At first we thought the tiny lights on the cave wall were all glow worms.

(3) The man-made cave is a small tunnel, takes an adult about 6 to 8 steps to reach from one end to the other.

(4) We were limited to about 5 min in the cave, looking at the lightings. Many of us were trying to figure out whether they were really glow worms or fiber optics lightings. When 5 mins was up, the guide raised his voice "next group is coming in!" and we were led to leave the cave hurriedly.

This trip is not worth going.

The location is beautiful and well designed, from the lake with the ducks, to the creek and forest walk to Frog Hollow and the Glow Worm cave. Glow worm cave was very interesting and the tour guide was clearly passionate about glow worms. This attraction would be suitable for all ages.

There are few places you can visit during daylight to see Glow Worms. They have tours every half-hour following a visual presentation explaining their life cycle, before entering the Glow Worm cave. Set in beautiful surroundings, plan on having lunch there, in either the cafe or the restaurant attached to the winery.

The man made cave is located in a winery so I drove past it the first time. We missed an earlier tour becasue they only take 20 people at a time so we had to wait almost an hour for the next one. The glow worm caves have been built well and there are lots of glow worms in a small man made cave. The tour was nice but once is enough.

I wanted to see the glow worms as I had seen some about 40 years ago and was interested in seeing them again. The video was informative but the cave was disappointing. I had high expectations of large numbers of worms since they are in a specially developed artificial cave. There were not as many as I expected. Our tour guide was informative but included too many lame jokes through her talk which seriously detracted from the information. It was OK, but I wouldn’t go again and probably wouldn’t recommend it. The winery had a free frog exhibit which was OK and worth going through if there for the wine tasting or restaurant.
