Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you have little kids, toddlers please avoid this place its more for older kids and adults, unfortunately we didn't have a good experience the car park is limited and the swimming holes are very hard to climb down to especially with younger children. We found it very hard to get down to one of the swimming spots due to the rocks. Also people treat it like a nightclub with smoking and drinking like no one else is there Won't be coming back here

Very nice spot. Short walk though and not a lot to see. Would be nicer in summer when you can go for a swim. Not very much parking, we had to wait about 20 minutes for a spot. Probably easier if you went later in the day, we went about lunch time.

On new years eve my daughter and I headed to cedar creek falls to take a look. Keeping in mind that 70% of Australia is suffering through the drought. It was nice to see that the falls are still trickling. There was water in the rock pools that was nice enough to take a swim. We got there early around 8:30am. There is only a very small car park close to the start of the walking path. It fills up very quickly. Then you have to park right out near the road and walk quite a distance back before you reach the walking track. There are toilets in the park and also bbqs. We really enjoyed it. The walk was a pretty easy one. Deffinetly worth a look. Would love to go back once we've been blessed with some rain.

This was a nice easy walk. You can swim in the rock pools which would be nice during summer. Also a nice place to stop and have a snack to eat. The parking is difficult, the parking area is only small, we parked at the top and it’s a 15 min walk to the start of the track

The walk was great. View was amazing the waterfalls were so beautiful.
Firstly getting there and finding a car spot was a nightmare.. some rude kids were standing in a car spot minding a spot for there family which arrived ten minutes later.
It is Christmas school holidays so place overall was packed.
Next time I will not take any stuff with me just a towel. The actual swimming hole is not good for young kids. Rocks everywhere and must try to find a good spot on a rock to sit. Stayed about 5 mind and left. Good for older kids or no kids at all

This place is excellent for a family outing, picnics or bbq. It has bbq facilities within walking distance from the carpark. The toilets probably need some maintenance. Carparks are limited, but if you come here during weekdays, there is almost no one around. We love the tranquility and enjoy listening to the sound of the flowing stream and waterfall without people around. And it is all free!
The walk to the lookout platform is about 5 mins from the carpark, paved pathway and accessible to strollers and prams. The walk to the pools below the waterfall is not accessible to strollers and prams, and you will need moderate fitness to make the descend, and ascend back to the platform, which will roughly take about 15 mins one way.

We visited on a Sunday with two young children having read it was an easy walk. As many have said, parking was a nightmare; we had to park quite far away on the main road but we didn’t mind that too much as it was a pleasant walk. The walk, the falls and the pools are beautiful but the pools were incredibly crowded and there were lots of people climbing the rocks and jumping off - despite all the warning signs to the contrary. It seems to be the place for young guys to go and demonstrate their testosterone and was not a great atmosphere / example for young children - we felt like we were sat waiting for an accident to happen. It’s a shame the wardens were more focused on patrolling the car parking than the safety of the pools. Also, the toilets were filthy.
Such a shame for such a beautiful spot.

Queensland is full of waterholes and as far as this one goes it's fairly nice but better when it's not so busy (see parking tip below). The main waterhole isn't very big but you could swim in it, when you're not watching out for the guys jumping in from above. So you go to the second waterhole but it's only wading depth. Still, a nice place to cool down for the day. (There's a fourth waterhole that looks huge and you can swim in, and looks like there once was a way to get to it, but the map there shows it's restricted.)
Went on a busy Wednesday during Christmas School Holidays. Was lucky enough to get a park. When you are drive into the Cedar Creek Falls carpark there are car spaces to the left. On the right is reserved for 'Mini Buses'. But if one person parks there, the rest do, and it covers up the sign stamped on the ground. We parked in the afternoon and as we were coming back from swimming, we saw a cop putting parking fines on windscreens.
I think if someone had pulled out of their space when I arrived, I'm guessing I easily would have taken it and not known any better. Makes for a costly visit.

Easy walk to lookout of falls with wheelchair access. A short undulating walk to the actual falls & rock pools. As it has been a dry summer the pools were low with a dirty film on the surface so uninviting for a swim. The area has many picnic tables & toilet facilities but minimal parking. There is rubbish everywhere including glass bottles & cigarette butts. Visitors are ruining this lovely rainforest area, more respect is needed for the environment & local wildlife. On our short walk we saw many birds & a large goanna.

So easy to miss this unique spot as you drive around Tamborine mountain. But crossing the first view of the gentle creek we enter a different world, one bounded by a massive towering trees and further down the walk, a sheer rock face as the creek plunges down into a gorge to land in rock pools far below.
The path to this area was furnished with graduated steps and guide rails in place and is easy to walk despite the rugged nature of the environment. An amazing place in which to experience the unique nature of an ancient land that can survive extensive drought as it is currently doing. And the creek still flows. With heavy rains here, it would be an extraordinary sight to witness these falls, but possibly a dangerous place to walk.

We parked in the top car park, a long walk to bottom car park then the trek to the waterfalls fairly steep.I didn't feel I could make it to rock pools as I have a torn cartilage in knee.
No signs saying how long the walk is,really needs better path to get to rock pools,no drinking water,in fact, I didn't enjoy the trip. I preferred the rock pools at Currumbin...
