    Gorgeous pond!
Gorgeous pond! Me and my family came here in August, 2020 and it was great. You can jump on the rocks, swim, and gaze at the gorgeous scenery. It is truly iconic and well known at Acadia. It is worth the crowd and there are trails surrounding the pond worth hiking. I highly recommend!

    A beautiful walk
Beautiful place with multiple trails of varying difficulty levels and distances. Don't get mkstaken by the name 'pond' it is qyite big. Possibly the shortest one is about 3 miles (5 km) that goes around the pond. This one that has 3 distinct parts with easy flat walk in the right side of the lake, then medium/hard rocky portion and then a boardwalk on the left side. Given we had a 60+ person in our party we ended up doing just the left board walk portion and could cover onward and back in about 1 hr.

    Nice, but sometimes challenging, hike
We hiked this on a foggy, misty day, with temperatures in the low 60s. This 3 mile trail takes approximately two hours. It can be challenging but we saw several families with small kids and dogs. Nevertheless, there’s a small section that consists exclusively of large rocks and no path; it’s tough but not impossible.

    Beautiful pond and great restaurant!
We started the day with fog, which really took away from the beauty of the area. We managed to hike all the way around the pond, which I believe is 3.3 miles. It started off easy, but halfway through, got a bit rough. I'm not really a hiker, so I did have a little trouble with this. My hiking pole really came in handy! There are areas of rock you have to climb over, but the reward after all that rock is a nice wooden boardwalk the rest of the way. The pond itself and surrounding area were just beautiful. I can't say enough about it. After our 2-hour hike around the pond, we had a lovely lunch at the Jordan Pond House. Reservations highly recommended. I made mine 1 month in advance. It was so nice sitting outside with a view of the pond and eating their delicious popovers with a blueberry soda!

    Not Much Parking
I would recommend going early to get parking to visit Jordan Pond. The hike around the pond was nice and there were public restrooms that were busy and needed attention. Make reservations if you want to eat at the restaurant.

you can also take the 3.1-mile-long Jodan Pond Path which is relatively easy and follows the lakefront in a loop
Jordan Pond is one of the most stunning places to visit in Acadia National Park, especially at sunset for photography. you can also take the 3.1-mile-long Jodan Pond Path which is relatively easy and follows the lakefront in a loop. it just walks around the pond. I did not do it, rather I went for the south bubble track. You can take in the views of the North and South Bubbles in the distance. The best views are right by the parking lot on the south end of the pond. from Jordan Pond, there is a 2-way road to Cadillac Mountain. Parking: I guess being a top tourist location of the park, its parking is always full. you might need to wait (Depending upon the time of the day) up to 30 minutes for parking.

Must see but don’t have to hike the entire loop
Jordan Pond is beautiful but I hiked the path trail for a mile and then turned around. It’s the same view pretty much everywhere. I walked the boardwalk path, not the rocky direction. The grounds with the restaurant and bathrooms are beautiful.

Calming and beautiful ripples in pond
We found parking mid-morning and hiked on the left side of the pond. The pond was beautiful with constant ripples, the water seemed clear, and it was a sunny day. Most of the hike was in shade. We turned around well before the half-way point, and enjoyed the walk back. Very calming to stop and listen to the water and enjoy the views.

    Simply amazing trip!
Jordan Pond was everything I had researched and then some. We enjoyed the suggested popover in the restaurant before heading out to hike around the pond. My husband and I are both in good shape, but no one mentioned two outcroppings of rock along the path to the left. It was rather difficult to maneuver around the rocks but once we were past, the walking was much easier. My suggestion for anyone planning this excursion and who is not in near-excellent condition, would be to travel the path to the RIGHT around the pond and then turn around when you get halfway. Those rocks were extremely difficult to climb over and you don't need any surprises along the way.

A beautiful place to take a nice walk with Fall colors present
On a sunny Fall day one could not ask for a more beautiful hike. The Fall colors were out and the sky was clear. Consequently we had a very nice walk around Jordan Pond. This is a relatively easy 3+ mile walk. There is an extensive board walk, a little bit of granite through which to migrate, and the a wide path. It seems interesting to us that what one calls a "pond" in the NE would be called a lake in the West.

Very picturesque, a great place to take in the fall foliage. Be sure to reserve an E-bike to travel the carriage trails through the park. The reservations go quick.

What a great hike. We walked around the entire pond. Scenery was beautiful and it was a nice flat hike. Varied areas of ground, rocks & plank walks.
