The longest trail loop in Arches, but easy to retrace if it gets too far. Good also for trail running in off season when there aren't too many people. Something new around each corner!. Saw a good many rabbits this January, and deer, who thoughtfully stopped few seconds to allow their picture taken. Allow about an hour and a half... More

Start early (we were in the park by 5:15 am) and enjoyed the MOST spectacular sunrise as it illuminated the silhouette of the formations across the fields on the drive into the park. Then we hit the trail. Being one of the earliest folks on the trail we saw a herd of about 12 deer grazing literal feet from us.... More

The Devil's Garden is perhaps the second most popular destination in Arches National Park next to Delicate Arch. It is also the longest and most rugged maintained trail in the park. It contains the largest concentration of significant natural arches in the world. The Devil's Garden Trail that travels throughout Devil's Garden is over 7 miles (11 km) long and... More

Was passing thru and couldn't resist! It was empty just after the holiday. Too bad for everyone else because it truly took on a different feel with snow and devoid of people.

This was not on my plan. But once I set my feet on start, I was very glad to be here. Just try! All the ways are full of dramatic scenes which will please your eyes. Don't forget to bring plenty of water and some covers to block the sunlight.

This hike feels like every bit of 7.8 miles. This is a fair amount of work. In the summer, rest often and take plenty of water. The trail is worth every bit of the effort.

This hike is great for all ages for the first mile or so, after that, it becomes difficult, and only marked by small piles of rocks which you can easily lose track of. The arches on this trail are stunning and the entire trail round trip takes a few hours.

When we stopped in at the Arches' Visitor Center, the ranger gave the Devil's Garden hike high marks. We started late morning, and stopped to admire the other arches along the way. I think that there may have been seven or so. The path starts out being sandy and fairly level. Our ultimate destination was the Double O arch, and... More

This is one of my favorite hikes - ever. Many other National Park hikes are popular because of the destination, but this hike is all about the journey! There are some spots where there's barely a trail, you hike on rock ridges with 100+ft drop offs, scale down slippery rock faces... it's everything an adventurer could want!

This is a really great hike moderate distance and difficulty with options to extend to include Black Angel ( worth doing) . The first part is paved and easy underfoot as far as Landscape Arch then it becomes rougher and occasionally requires "cairn spotting " to find the trail . There was one short steep section across slick rock where... More
