Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We boondocked here for two nights and was fabulous! Lots of people doing the same but this place is so big, wasn’t crowded at all!

Everyone should visit national parks and this is no exception! It's easy to get to and if you wish (but why would you) you can just drive through it without ever leaving your car. But if you did that you'd miss the hikes and the scenic views that you can only truly experience by getting out of your car!

The scenery (especially Yellow Mounds) is most beautiful at sunrise and/or sunset. You will see plenty of bison and prairie dogs; Bighorn sheep and mule deer and Burrowing owls can be seen as well.

The wall was something beautiful to look at. With the red lines on the wall, it was interesting to see.

In my opinion this is one of the greatest parks in the USA. Absolutely beautiful! The gift shop is really nice and there's lots of information. There are lots of animals and birds to see too.

The Badlands is best seen early morning or late afternoon. The shadows are better for photography; there is a higher probability that animals will be visible and for sure it will be cooler. Parents beware! The ground is dry and sharp. In places it is easy to slide down gullies. There are fences in some places but not others. keep an eye on your loved ones.

We drove the loop first from east to west, and then back again to see the different views. This is an amazing place. Don’t miss it!

The entire Park is amazing, with this geological feature just one part.
We traveled the scenic loop east to west, then back west to east; ending with watching the sun setting over the Park.
We also drove some roads in the canyon mazes, marveling at what the earliest inhabitants must have had to overcome navigating this land.
There are numerous options for stopping, taking pictures, walking/hiking, or just sitting back (if one has mobility issues, as we do) and indulging in the surroundings. Being early May, the traffic flow was rather light.
This area is certainly a geological marvel not to be missed.

This place was beautiful!!! No matter the season. We came a few days in early April after a large winter storm. Amazing breathtaking views! There are tons of stops along the main tour road to stop and take plenty of pictures. Lol if you're afraid of heights be warned not a lot of guard rails. I was excited to purchase my National Park Senior Lifetime Pass at Badlands.

Nice area to visit and experience while taking in the sights. Cool sights and we were there early enough in the summer that we got to check everything out without the crowds. It almost felt like we had the place to ourselves and could spend as much time or as little while there.
