Try to get there when the ranger is giving his talk. It is interesting to hear about the geology and the timing of the area.

We enjoyed walking around this area and looking at all the different things this path has to offer. They have interesting signs posted along the route explaining what you're seeing and a bit of history. A short walk, but worth the stop!

There is a nice collection of locally excavated fossils on display along this trail. Each one is housed in a display case for easy viewing.

This is more of a museum exhibit than a trail. It's a boardwalk loop with some signs containing information and metal replicas of fossils that I guess were found at the site or at least in somewhere in the park. Other than that you see...More

This is more of a boardwalk rather than a trail. Its extremely short and easily navigated, but was underwhelming in our opinion in its viewing of fossils. The best thing about it was its access to several hills to climb on that had nothing to...More

The kids loved scampering over the hills and enjoyed the trail. We also heard the ranger talk about the history of the badlands, recent fossil finds and discoveries.
