Find time to go to this hidden beauty!! We took a guided hike with Ranger Chris on the first day and learned so much about this beautiful place and why the canyon walls are black. So much history and culture here that you'll never want...More

This is one of my family's and I favorite National Park. It is never really crowded the Rangers and really nice and informative and the views are great! It is worth spending the night in the campground and doing one of the Ranger night programs

Another National Park gem that is best appreciated by stopping first at the Visitor Center and watching the movie and/or taking a free ranger-led geology tour! If just passing through on a short visit, highly recommend driving to the end of the South Rim (High...More

This is one of our country's newest National Parks having changed status from National Monument in 1999. Since it is so new and relatively unknown and also since it is relatively isolated in SW Colorado and not near any major interstate it is really a...More

This is a park and walk to overlooks or "down looks" national park with a really nice visitor center. A series of stops allow you different viewpoints to be able to see deep into the canyon and have chance to see the ribbon-like Gunnison River....More

We just kind of took off exploring for about a day and it is hard to retrace. Park Service can help you as you enter the park.
