Nice overlook

This is a nice overlook, not quite as popular as Sunrise / Sunset or Bryce Points but it still gives you the grandeur of the park.

Best way to see Rainbow Point and to learn about the area. The shuttle is free and takes you to places the normal shuttle does not. We had an excellent tour guide (sorry, I forgot his name) who is extremely knowledgeable about the indigenous plants, trees and flowers. He took the time to point out the flore and faune. We... A must see. Views over 100 miles. Worth driving to this and walking the trails around the point. You might catch a ranger talk so check at the Visitor Centre as this is interesting about the geology.

The 15 mile drive down here from Bryce Point is well worth it. And you can hike the Bristlecone Loop from here for even more views of the park. Once you are done here, stop at the many viewpoints on you way back towards Bryce Point.

Rainbow point is at the end of the canyon reachable by car. it is the highest point in the park. Nice views of the whole area from here.

Definitely make time to drive out to Rainbow Point while you are at Bryce. The drive out is filled with great stops with stunning views around every corner. The colors of the canyon, trees and sky are simply amazing.

The entire time in this National Park is better than any amusement park anywhere. (I have not been in them all, but, I'm just saying') ... This particular stop is a great example of how the hoo doors change and I love the fact that if I come back in two years, they will look and be different. Mother Nature... More

Rainbow Point and Inspiration Point are the two most beautiful views on this entire planet. If your vacation trip takes you within 1000 miles of Southern Utah, detour to see them. If it doesn't, detour anyway.

Take the FREE Bus tour of the southern section of Bryce Canyon and don't worry about finding parking at each stop. This is not part of the regular shuttle service that operates in the northern part of the park and reservations are necessary. Reservations can be made 24-hours in advance by calling (435) 834-5290. Check for hours and pick-up times.... More

this is a viewpoint from 9000+ft of the ampitheatre. the parking is limited but not many people here as you have to drive or reserve the special 2 time daily shuttle. Worth driving down to, do the turn outs on the way back toward the lodge area.
