Although this was not on the itinerary of our coach tour, our courier highly recommended it and as it was perfect viewing weather for viewing we did a collection to pay the entrance fee. It was money well spent as the views were absolutely amazing, almost matching the Grand Canyon. I was surprised how quiet it was which made it... More

This park has some of the best canyon views you will ever see outside of the Grand Canyon. But that's is about all there is here. Unless you have some back country permit to hike the park you can make this a stop on your way along a travel route. Don't need to set aside a whole day.

Only stopped for a few minutes while leaving Canyonlands. Wasn't sure if it was worth the $10 just to see the view point but maybe if we had stayed longer it would have been.

This is a great place to stop and bike or hike in the area. The bike trails are well kept up and fun to ride. The walk along the edge offers great views from every angle and is easy for any age group. Has nice visitor center for those with extra time to learn more about the area and some... More

We drove out on the way to Canyonlands. It's easy to get to (you take the same main road as you would to go to Island in the Sky visitor center) with beautiful scenery along the way. It's $10 per vehicle (up to 8 people). There's a ~2 mile hike that we didn't do that supposedly offers great views. We... More

Dead Horse Point offers gorgeous views over Colorado River and Canyonlands National Park. There is a safe pathway along the canyon rim to take incredible photos.

If you are in the Moab, UT area you should make a special effort to visit this state park. The views are absolutely spectacular of the Colorado River and surrounding canyons. This is a state park that requires an entrance but there are discounts for children and seniors. Even if you pay the full fee it is well worth the... More

I have seen pictures of this park on Pinterest and other sites so I knew then I had to see it for myself. So glad I did. Anyone can enjoy this view so you can drive right to it. 300 Million years of erosion is hard to believe. Hope you enjoy my pictures

After visiting Canyonlands National Park, we drove to Dead Horse State Park where we saw spectacular views of the Colorado River below. We also saw the settling pools for the potash plants which was an amazing sight. You do have to pay a fee to enter Dead Horse State Park, but it is well worth it to visit this special... More

This is a place you really need to experience. The views are spectacular. You stand high above the Colorado and look down on it as it wanders through the valley below. There are more tourists here than in many other places in Canyonlands, but it's a must see.
