The arch is one of the iconic attractions in the Island in the Sky district of Canyonlands National Park. This district is located about 30 miles west of Moab, UT via US191 and UT313. Admission is $25/car (good 7 days) or NPS passes are accepted. The parking lot and trail head for Mesa Arch is on the left side of... More

I honestly cannot describe how wonderous it is to see the sign rise at Mesa Arch. I thought it might be one of those things that's built up too much, but it really provides some of the most awe-inspiring views around. We got there just before 6am and there were probably 30 or so other people there taking pictures and... More

One of these days I'll get the picture right. This was my second trip to Mesa Arch. I was a little bit down the line for January and did not even realize the sun had come up it was so far to the south. I think I'll come back in the summer and be there very, very, very, very early... More

Just one of natures wonders. Great hike up and the view beyond and below is breath taking especially with the snow on the far peaks. Great time to visit as although cold the sun is up and the parks are very quiet of visitors

Mesa Arch requires a short, easy hike that affords a vista that is hard to beat. Perched on the edge of a deep canyon, you not only get to enjoy the arch, but it frames a spectacular vista of the canyon and mountains in the far background. When there is snow on the peaks, you cannot ask for a more... More

This is a beautiful low arch at the edge of a deep canyon. Great place to take pictures with a arch in the background. Don't miss it.

Awesome view from the Mesa Arch and its a short walk from the parking area. But please be careful, the back side drops down a long ways.

This short walk in the Island in the Sky area of Canyonlands is to visit one of the few natural arches in the park. Definitely worth doing and won't take long to arrive at a great arch perched on the edge of a precipice with a great view through the arch

By far, the best part of this arch was the snowy mountains in the background. The hike out to it was easy, relatively flat, and well marked-for the first half. After that, you follow cairns to the arch. We visited around 12:30 and had the entire arch to ourselves for about 10 minutes. It's gorgeous and worth the short hike... More
