This is the place to catch the sunrise in Canyonlands, unfortunately that means everyone else is there with you. We thought we were getting there early but still didn't get a place in front of the arch to take pictures. We were able to get a place off to the side and get some good shots. It really is amazing... No review can match up to the beauty this place has when you see it personally. Somehow I imagined it to be a dry place where you stop just to click a photo and then come back..But This place was so soothing!!!! My hubby n I loved it so so much..

This is a modest 0.25 walk along a well marked pathway to the Mesa Arch. The Arch at sunset is okay, but what is more impressive is the view afforded into the canyon with a spectacular view of towering mesa rock formations. If you want to see some of the majesty of of Canyonlands but with minimal effort- this is... More

As you see from the review pictures, this is an absolutely fantastic place for pictures. My favorite picture of our whole AZ/UT road trip is of my kids right under the arch. The landscape looking through and depth is just unreal. I have my fancy DSLR (not like I know enough to be dangerous), but even there in the mid... More

The arch is one of the iconic attractions in the Island in the Sky district of Canyonlands National Park. This district is located about 30 miles west of Moab, UT via US191 and UT313. Admission is $25/car (good 7 days) or NPS passes are accepted. The parking lot and trail head for Mesa Arch is on the left side of... More

I honestly cannot describe how wonderous it is to see the sign rise at Mesa Arch. I thought it might be one of those things that's built up too much, but it really provides some of the most awe-inspiring views around. We got there just before 6am and there were probably 30 or so other people there taking pictures and... More

One of these days I'll get the picture right. This was my second trip to Mesa Arch. I was a little bit down the line for January and did not even realize the sun had come up it was so far to the south. I think I'll come back in the summer and be there very, very, very, very early... More

Just one of natures wonders. Great hike up and the view beyond and below is breath taking especially with the snow on the far peaks. Great time to visit as although cold the sun is up and the parks are very quiet of visitors

Mesa Arch requires a short, easy hike that affords a vista that is hard to beat. Perched on the edge of a deep canyon, you not only get to enjoy the arch, but it frames a spectacular vista of the canyon and mountains in the far background. When there is snow on the peaks, you cannot ask for a more... More
