This point is located between Bryce Canyon National Park and Capitol Reef. It is a spectacular view with a mixture of forest in the vicinity and desert in the distance and mountains in the background. It's a good place to rest if you're tired of driving. I visit it in September 2015, but I can no longer put that date... More

Utah Highway 24 is, without a doubt, the most spectacular drive you can take ANYWHERE! The road starts in Torrey, Utah, just outside Capitol Reef National Park, over the mountain (the Larb Hallow Overlook is about 15 miles south of Torrey) to Boulder, Utah where you can stop for a meal at Hell's Backbone Grill, then through gorgeous country to... This beautiful overlook is in the Dixie National Forest between Capitol Reef National Park and Escalante Utah. We traveled in the fall and the whole drive through the National Forest was amazingly beautiful with the fall colors. Highly recommend this drive.

Great views from the overlooks (there are several). Ample parking spaces. No hiking involved. Temperatures were about 20 degrees cooler than in Torrey, just outside Capitol Reef.

The scenic drive on US 12 has great views and overlooks. We stopped at all of the viewpoints as we drove. I wouldn’t normally write a review for an overlook, but the afternoon view from Larb Hollow Overlook was especially pretty. The sun lights the colors on the distant hills, and the vegetation provides nice contrast to the view. This... More

Had a lot of overcast clouds during Scenic Byway 12 drive from Torrey to Bryce, but this overlook was amazing anyways. Beautiful spot. Totally worth stopping at.

On the way from Bryce to Zion on HW12. It is a nice stop to overlook the valley per tripadvisor recommendation. There are several other overlook on the way as well. They are all very scenic. We traveled during new year's week, the road was clear and not crowded.

Got here late in the day on a day that had been a bit overcast. The view is indescribable. Can't even imagine how far you can see. Breathtaking to say the least.

Highway 12 is a great American scenic byway connecting route between Capital Reef N P and Bryce Canyon N P and this overlook is one of the main reasons why. You have a dramatic vista looking east where you can see Capital Reef's striated bluffs and distant mountains (Ellen and Pennel) that reach over 11,000 feet. A real bonus in... More

The Overlook at Larb Hollow is about halfway up Boulder Mountain amidst sections of white birch and pine groves. You look East and can see for (hundreds of?) miles. The forest surrounding you, combined with the colors of Capitol Reef in the intermediate distance, and then the majesty of the snow capped Henry Mountains far off...you get the idea. Don't... More
